DO NOT GET THIS GUY, SCOTT SHEFFRON, AS YOUR ATTORNEY OR PUBLIC DEFENDER. One of the MOST unprofessional comments he has made during a client/public defender meeting appointment his law firm (in regards to my then upcoming case)- he smirked and scoffed while speaking his true thoughts out loud in front of his coworker , complained stating, " You wanna know what i made off her case previously??!! ...-$300 bucks!!". And then smirks and says now he's doing this case for me and he's not making enough to be TRYING better to help me, his client, as if im not worth fighting for regarding my rights to have fair plea deals and giving me some options. I did not commit a serious crime. It was a misdemeanor, and Mr. Sheffron would huff and puff with an heir of annoyance and hurriedly trying to just be done with me and not TRY, Not put in EFFORT. He just came to me at court hearings and would just tell me he cant do anything for me period. That he agreed that I should just be put in jail and do jail time of 45 days or whatever the court said the first time. He didn't fight for me at all, and made me feel like I was worthless and beneath him in this lifetime. He has no compassion or understanding towards regular people with petty cases, and snubs his nose at me. I HOPE TO GOD Scott Sheffron removes himself from public defender cases and goes to his ONLY HIGH PAYING PAID CASES. HENDERSONVILLE AND POLK COUNTY WAS SHOWN A COMPLETE INJUSTICE BY EVER ALLOWING HIM PUBLIC PRETENDER CASES. I have had one public defender previously years ago that completely helped me without judgment or impatience, and made sure my life wasn't just screwed and got me FAIR plea deals, put in actual effort on her part. So not all PD's are bad apples. I feel like our justice system is very skewed and dont give people actual help or chances to make real positive changes in our lives in Hendersonville and Polk County. But I know God will always help us unfortunate ones , because we all deserve someone to fight for us/our freedom.
