So.... You don't contact ALL of a person's family and get them to say yes or no. Think again!!!!!!!! There are other living relatives. You violated them. You say can't this can't that..... Well those family members know a lot more than you think.... They know because family did visit family although you think not!!!!!!!!! and land or house was not deceased family members nor moms and dads the land still in my grannys name.possessions in entirety was not all my brothers sure he had few things but.... the furniture the dishes the bed clothes the pictures my two small dressers that dear friend gave me old dolls etc etc etc some of ours which is still in that homeplace?!!!!!!!!!!!All that's been done is make upset about sixty something off You have no idea what's occurred but being as obviously you don't recognize sisters nieces nephews etc etc. I would not recommend You all as attorney. And post your notice in a paper no one will ever ever see to begin with. But family will see it because the details already been passed along going down lineage. Unbelievable some people

These folks are absolutely fantastic to work with. Everyone was professional and friendly, they answered every question in understandable terms and handled every detail quickly and efficiently. In the area of elder law, I don't think you can find a better firm. I highly recommend the Knox Law Firm.

Sharing something ultra personal in this review as a cautionary tale to others - a situation that rattles my faith in humanity.
Caroline Knox was recommended to my father by his friend. My dad wanted to make some changes to his will (in my / my son's favor) and make sure the land contract would be fair to his side of the family. I know this because my dad and I discussed it. I also knew he had a will and he was in the process of making changes to it, because we discussed that, too. He was unhappy in his relationship and had considered getting out completely.
He began working with Caroline Knox, and made the mistake of bringing his girlfriend in on the contract because he lived with her and they shared assets. The girlfriend avoided the meetings and wasn't cooperating. Dragging feet, so to speak.
Now, question. Why would Caroline have allowed him to put the person who would lose part of his estate on the contract? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. But one thing about my dad was that whatever his foibles, he always tried to be fair-minded. And he also trusted people way too much.
My father passed away suddenly in December and hadn't finalized anything. Instead of protecting his interests, Caroline represented his girlfriend in the settlement, and his kin (us) was left with tiddledywinks. The girlfriend claimed there was no will (NOT true,) and Caroline went along with that.
It's clearly a conflict of interest and warrants a disciplinary complaint. I don't think I have the energy to pursue it - I'd prefer to let the situation go rather than go through more trouble and expense, but clearly this is something you should be aware of prior to working with this firm.
I am not only incredibly sad about my father, I am also sad about Caroline Knox. I was really hurt that she didn't fight for his family at all, just laid down, rolled over and got her paycheck. Yuck.

The team at Carolyn Knox Law Firm is professional, courteous, and most pleasant to work with. My mom needed an elder attorney and this law firm was highly recommended. It did not disappoint. Wendy Crook the paralegal involved in our case was helpful, competent, and highly motivated, not to mention a all around nice person. Mary Lou the receptionist is very professional and nice also. I'm sure this is true of everyone whom works there also. Carolyn herself conveys all this herself. Truly is you need a law firm this is the place to go. A all around great Experience.

Caroline Knox and her entire crew at Knox Law have made a difficult situation bearable for our family and this review is long overdue. Without their expertise, professionalism and empathy, we would never have been able to navigate two long term care Medicaid applications for our parents. In August 2019 we called requesting information and Mary Lou, legal assistant at Knox Law was the first person who listened to our concerns and assured us that we would get a return call. Denise Hanks, Nurse Navigator then spoke at length to us and explained options regarding long term care. When we chose Knox Law to handle our parents' situation, Wendy Crook, Medicaid Coordinator took over and she became our go-to person for every step in the process. Wendy's calm, steady, reassuring voice at the other end of the phone, and her encouraging texts and emails kept us going through weeks of challenges as she prepared to submit the application for Dad's long term care Medicaid. Four months later Mom also became ill and needed a nursing home, and again Wendy exhibited proficiency every step of the way. She was always available to answer our questions and displayed extraordinary patience with us when we panicked because we felt that things weren't going as planned. Unusual circumstances kept her working with us for months and Wendy always remained optimistic. Caroline met with the entire family, listened to our questions and offered legal options and advice as we proceeded through the maze of paperwork required for Medicaid. She also took time to confer with us via phone when we were dealing with a very difficult parent, explaining options and the pros and cons of a challenging decision such as guardianship. Many other members of her team worked in the background for us - notarizing papers, preparing estate documents, and we thank them for their commitment to our family. We offer the entire team at Know Law our sincere thanks and gratitude for helping us to enable our parents the opportunity to live out the rest of their lives safely cared for by skilled nursing. We have and will continue to praise and recommend Caroline Knox and her exceptional team. They are top-notch professionals.
