John Hunter is an amazing attorney! He got all charges dismissed for my boyfriend and treated him like he was human and not just a inmate number! We are both more than pleased!
I used John Hunter for a speeding ticket received in November 2023 for going 17 over (resolved in August 2024) and I am 100% satisfied with the representation provided- this was reduced to a nonmoving violation- I was not expecting this. The Office Manager (Mary Etta Mitchell) was super communicative about the process and the case. N.B. Do not be deterred about how long it takes to resolve your case. I am assuming this is apart of their strategy. Would recommend 100%!
Bout the worst lawyer I've ever seen not going to go into it , but Mr Hunter went silent on me for months, I called 20 times and left messages. Finally he gets back to me , he's been on vacation!! ok, now broke my foot,ok.were definitely not going in front of this judge, ok . Court day why what judge did we go in front of well that judge. I'm pleading guilty. Now I'm in a real mess when I first contacted the office that told me , well you'll need to do 24 hours community service,ok I did that I was wrong I pled guilty. Well court day the judge said oh you need to do 48 hours community service and pay your fines,I can pay my fines no problem. Well we going to put you on supervised probation until you get it the community service done.so now I'm in a mess. Do what you want but I'd stay away from this lawyer. Thank you
I retained John Hunter in July for a traffic matter that was preventing me for getting my license back. I explained to Mr. Hunter that I was under the impression that I paid all my tickets but the Drivers License Office was showing tickets out of a different county that that counties DA couldn't verify and suggested I get a lawyer for. Mr Hunter claimed it was an easy fix and assured he'd get the tickets straightened out. Months went by with no communication from Mr. hunter or his office. The only email correspondence that was sent to me was receipts showing he got money. I moved in August and contacted Mr. Hunter in late September/October to advise him that I'd gotten my car registered and asking him if he needed any documentation or information from me. He said no and claimed that he had all the information he needed, I asked if I needed to be in court, he said he didn't have my file in front of him but he had everything he needed and no. (Why are you a lawyer working from home without your clients files?) fast forward to today, 11/29. His office calls me at 11:30 to advise me that a warrant for my arrest would be issued if I didn't get to court by 12p. (Why is my lawyers office telling me I'm missing court, the day of?? Isn't that why I retained a lawyer?) So I fly to the courthouse only to be told he's not at the courthouse..why tell me to be there before 12p then leave? I'm then told by the DA to come back at 9a the next day, to which Mr. Hunters office claimed was incorrect and that I needed to go back at 1:30p today and when I asked why he would do that without consulting me I was told "oh well, if you want to play with your freedom, that's on you". To which I ask why I was never notified of the court date. I'm told they mailed something to the wrong address, they knew it was the wrong address because it was returned to them as undeliverable. When I asked why no further attempts were made to contact their client that has paid for their services I was told "you're grown, if you want information you should've called" and when I said I did call and was never told about the court date again I was told "oh well". Alas, I went back to court at 1:30. He did not show up until 3 and then chastised me for how I addressed his office staff. He stated he didnt care how I handled the case and just wanted to be done with me. He asked how I wanted to handle it, when I responded "I don't know because you haven't given me ANY legal advice" he through the papers at me and walked off. He gave me no legal counsel, he did nothing for my case. All he did was print out a list of the tickets I had. I hired him for the tickets, I obviously was already aware of them. When we went before the judge to request the withdrawal he lied and claimed that I refused to communicate with him and my lack of participation is why he wanted to withdraw. He was fired. If you want a good lawyer, don't hire him. If you want a real lawyer and not just a weak man in a suit, hire anyone else. John Hunter III is a liar and a cheat. He deserves to be disbarred.
