Mr. Nance is one of the most sympathetic and patient attorney I ever met. I had the most trivial case ever and he worked very hard for me to get justice. Even when I went in labor he still went to my court appearance and represented me. I wish I could give him more stars because if it wasn't for his knowledge I would've lost because I was a train wreck at that time. I thank him for changing my life.

When you have to evict a tenant it is a stressful situation. Hiring a lawyer is supposed to ease some of that stress. Hiring Mr Nance did not alleviate any stress. He piled it on. We went for a consultation which he said would be $150. We decided to hire him and gave him a $750 deposit. He said if we did not need to go through with the eviction process we would be get a $500 refund. We agreed. There were several times in the following weeks that I needed my lawyers advice, but I never got a return call. The email on his business card was undeliverable. 60 days later, the tenant moved out. We contacted Mr Nance and he apologized and promised via phone, and email that he would mail it immediately. Its been a month. Mr Nance is simply a conman. Takes your money, then ghosts you. One shouldn't have to take your lawyer to court, you know? Avoid this man like the plague. **********UPDATE AUGUST 12, 2025 As of this date, Mr Nance has still not issued the $500 refund he promised on this very site. Apparently Mr Nance is not worried about reviews, as is still ignoring my calls. If Mr Nance sees fit to honor his written promise to issue my refund. I will remove this review. Until then, I think people should be aware of Mr Nance's lack of character. October 2025 - FYI, still no refund. From what I gather from reviews my situation is Mr Nance's MO. Act like a sad sack detective Colombo, promise you the world, get your check and that's the end of it. I will periodically post this review everywhere Mr Nance does business in the hopes that other people do not get screwed the way I did.

From the very beginning I should have known to avoid this guy! After almost 24 months of wasting my time and continually telling me he would provide status updates by a certain date and not hearing anything from him, my only recourse was a charge dispute on my credit card. He even promised a refund, after not receiving anything for months, I disputed with my card. This guy over promises, under delivers, doesn't respond, and continuously forgets things. Like others said, he will probably respond to this review with various excuses quicker than he would respond to me as a client. You can see one piece of MANY that I have attached how he makes false promises. In the attachment, filled with excuses, he promised a refund by a certain date. I received nothing, even after repeated messages after the deadline that he set passed. Good luck if you don't heed my warning.

Does not communicate well, doesn't let you know when court dates are, Doesn't return calls, always making excuses when do talk to him. If you have had a bad experience I recommend contacting the bar. Everything was great at first. Kirk Nance didn't expect this case to go for so long for the price he charged me. I could tell towards the end he just wanted to get it over because he didn't charge me enough for the work he has to put in. I said I could pay him more once we win and he pays. But he said no it's okay I gave you my agreement. Which I could tell it wasn't okay since he brought it up a few times. Even when the judge had the calculations wrong at court on how much I was owed he said he'll fix it later. I said how about we fix it now while in court. But he didn't want to. You guessed it nothing got fixed later. Total was way off by 1000s. So I lost out on all that. He just wanted it over. But at the end of the day we won the case. But I was not getting the money I deserved though. Now I can't even get the money I won from the case. The guy hasn't paid. I asked Kirk Nance when would I get paid. His response was I did my part. So just winning the case is your part but I still haven't got paid? So he said he'll help me get my money but it's not his job basically. I even said I'll pay you to help for that I guess. Now he won't answer my calls or emails. I'm sure he blocked my email since I can't reply to him now. It took like a year or longer to win the case and has been longer after that I haven't got paid. He knew my situation being in the military. All lawyers care about is money. Now I have to figure out how I can get my money from this guy. I probably never will. He said it will go to collections and you'll get it. No I just want the money I won. So I'm not out more money I lost paying a lawyer for no reason I guess if I can't get my money back anyway. So if you leave a bad review they'll answer you faster than you just calling and email for almost a year it seems. Smh.
