I had a great experience today with Summer Branch! I was Referred to her through legal shield. She was nothing but knowledgeable and was able to help me with everything that I had question's about. I would highly recommend Summer Branch to anyone that needed advice about family law.

Today, Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at approximately, 9:30 am, we talked with Attorney Waller, we asked for corrections and additions. He was reluctant to assist, condescending, and we were disappointed with his non follow through on our previous request, as well. We talked with him for the second time (on November 12, 2025) to prepare our Power of Attorney, (POA) paperwork and to identify our address, indentify our trust, and to identify myself as a trustee of the actual trust on the power of attorney. He took the information, read the corrections and additions, back to us and told us that he sent it to us via email & physical mail. Moreover,, as of 6 am, Thursday, November 13, 2026, we have not received the corrections in our email inbox and approximately two weeks ago the same aforementioned paperwork was NOT sent via physical mail as requested to Attorney Waller by us. UPDATE: 11/12/2024, We finally received the power of attorney papers via email today and my power of attorney has grammatical errors after having Attorney Waller reading back what he said he had written. UPDATE: We called and talked with to Sherry F. November 13, 2025 concerning the grammatical errors on our POA. Sherry fixed the grammatical error on the aforementioned day, Sherry emailed it back to us and now the POA was missing the "NOTICE OF PRINCIPAL" page. UPDATE: (11/14/2025) We called back to the firm talked to DJ which was unproductive. We called back and talked with Kim who kept interrupting us and not allowing us to give her the full picture of what was going on. We requested to speak to s supervisor. We talked to Attorney Girbieux again and after explaining to him three times the aforementioned, as of: Friday, November 14, 2025, we finally got a corrected and intact POA. It has taken us approximately 16 calls and almost a month, to finally get two POA copies we can use and get notarized.

My meritt webb review seems to have disappeared. I will not take the time to repost.. Rather, i'll keep it simple.
The short course: over the years and to the Best my knowledge, few of the in-house attorneys ever researched any of the questions I posed. Other, outside attorneys to whom they referred me, rarely returned calls. Those attorneys often were generally reviewed as average or below by their clients.
As to their reply..... I called several times to ask for another attorney when the last one to whom they referred me did not return mycalls. No choice of counsel was given to me. Also, their attorneys provided general legal opinions, but other than on one or two occasions, i saw no evidence that they actually researched the questions I posed.

UPDATE: On today, November 13, 2025, we called for the seventh time in regards to our POA. Today, we talked with a Customer Service Representative (CSR) while both my partner and I was on the phone; with my partner was speaking. The CSR admitted they made a mistake and apparently assumed that my partner was talking without me. For the 7th, time, we talked with Attorney Justin. He was dismissive, rude, and hung up the phone in our faces. For the 8th time we, talked with a supervising attorney, Girabeux and he called back and for the 9th time. For the 10th time, we talked with Sara and for a 11th time a team lead (Sherry) who misgendered my partner more than five times throughout the call after calmly redirecting her. The document still remains incorrect. This is the 11th time we have called in regards to the POA. This is in reprehensible. As of today, our documents still remain with grammatical errors. Update: The POA's grammatical errors were fixed, however, the POA is missing a page.

I had a disappointing experience with Merritt Webb Law Firm through LegalShield, specifically with attorney Melissa Smith. From the start, I was rushed, talked over, and barely allowed to explain my situation. Despite providing detailed documentation in advance, it was clear my case wasn't taken seriously -- and the attorney admitted she hadn't fully reviewed the information before forming an opinion.
What was most disheartening was how quickly I felt judged rather than supported. It seemed like the attorney had already made up her mind before we even spoke. Instead of receiving guidance or advocacy, I left the conversation feeling dismissed, misunderstood, and frankly, unheard.
Legal services should empower people -- not belittle them. I would not recommend this firm to anyone seeking thoughtful legal help or respectful treatment. I canceled my membership shortly after this experience.
