The duplex that sits on the grounds of the historic Patton Parker House has two beautiful 2 bed, 2 bath apartments. Both have lovely front porches with views of both the mountains and downtown Asheville. Both units are brand new, with tasteful and comfortable furnishings. A wonderful location that has neat little neighborhood charms, with a cafe/bakery, premier butcher shop, 4 restaurant options, an ice cream parlor and a fabulous wine shop are all within 5 minutes walk. This is a truly charming place to spend a week, or an entire season here in Asheville.

Lovely oasis in a walkable urban setting! Guesthouse apartments behind the historic Patton Parker House are spacious and attractive with high ceilings and lots of natural light. My husband and I found the upper-level unit sparkling new looking, with quality finishes and furnishings, and well outfitted for cooking and laundry over a longer stay. Landscaped grounds and the adjacent historic house, now a law office, provide a buffer and some seclusion from the busy nearby street. Downtown is an easy 15-minute walk. Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and a supermarket (all side by side) are a 10-minute walk, and a bakery and several casual restaurants are within a block. A large, paved, vacant lot detracts from the nearby view (and could be a construction site at some point) but long views of the downtown skyline and distant mountains are great. (Photo attached.) And owner Jim Siemens is personable, knowledgable and accommodating. We'd happily stay at Patton Parker again!

We stayed in the first floor rental unit for a visit to see family who lives in town. The unit is brand new, nicely appointed, and spacious. The outdoor space is certainly a highlight. We ate dinner in the yard a few nights and enjoyed the view of downtown Asheville with the backdrop of the mountains. I can see this being a good wedding or event venue due to it's central location and proximity to downtown. My parents need to seriously upgrade their own home to compete with the accommodations at the Patton Parker House, otherwise, we'll probably wind up staying here again in the future!

The Patton Parker House grounds were the perfect setting for an outdoor musical event. The grounds have the perfect set up for a stage area, with ample electricity and water available. The lawns are accessible for folks with mobility issues. Our evening event was really a success. The busy traffic of daytime Charlotte Street disappeared and there are no close residences to be affected by the music. Historic trees provided excellent shade and ambiance. There is plenty of off site parking within easy walking distance. Mr. Siemens could not have been more accommodating in making sure our event was a financial and enjoyable success.

I recently helped organize an event at the Patton Parker House for a non profit. The house is beautiful and spacious, with historical documents framed and visible throughout the ground floor. The architecture and history of the house was big lure for attendees so we were able to host many more guests than we expected to attend. The house also offers a unique view of downtown from a large outdoor space; with both hardscape and grass areas. Our guests enjoyed the house and gardens so much we had trouble getting people to go home! I highly recommend this venue.
