We had a deeply upsetting experience with this attorney. While he presents himself as friendly and helpful at first, his behavior changed drastically after we paid for his services. He became aggressive, unprofessional, and hostile -- raising his voice, using vulgar language, and even yelling at my wife and me when we tried to ask basic questions about our case. At one point, he even threatened to discard our file, which is incredibly concerning given the sensitive nature of immigration matters. This is not someone who shows the professionalism, care, or respect that clients deserve -- especially when dealing with life-changing legal issues. I strongly encourage anyone considering his services to read through the lower-rated reviews. Many of them reflect patterns similar to our experience. Unfortunately, they seem accurate. Please do your research before trusting this individual with your case.

I am deeply frustrated with the services provided by Jorge regarding my wife's immigration case. We hired him in 2021, paying a significant amount of money for his assistance with two separate processes. Despite the complexity of immigration, which is why we sought legal representation, Jorge has failed to offer the support and communication we expected. Throughout this time, we've encountered several issues with responsiveness. For instance, after receiving a message last month about an overdue bill, I immediately paid it. I then followed up by asking for an update on my wife's case, but never received a response. When we finally called today to inquire about her status, Jorge responded by yelling at both me and my wife, accusing us of being rude for simply asking a question. He also falsely claimed that I had been listening on speakerphone during the call. They were speaking in Spanish, I do not speak Spanish. His behavior was completely unprofessional. Additionally, he criticized me for texting him at 8 PM, saying he would never respond at that time. While I understand that everyone has personal hours, it's unreasonable to ignore a client for weeks without any updates. He then went on to compare his availability for emergencies (such as picking up clients from jail at 2 AM) but still couldn't find the time to answer a simple text. My wife initially liked working with Jorge, but after this experience, we both feel that the lack of communication, disrespect, and unprofessional conduct are unacceptable. Asking for an update on a case, especially when you have someone on retainer, should never be met with hostility. We trusted Jorge with an important process, but at this point, we feel that we are no longer receiving the service we are paying for. If you're considering hiring Jorge, make sure you fully understand every aspect of the immigration process on your own. If you have any questions at all during the process, be prepared for him to show his true colors. I highly recommend exploring other options. The service, attitude, and lack of responsiveness have been consistently disappointing. You deserve better representation, especially during such a crucial and stressful process like immigration. Throughout our experience dealing with the immigration process, Jorge Macias was excellent in dealing with our case. We considered ourselves very lucky that we hired an experienced lawyer, who quite by chance was very local and if we had any issues, he would easily accessible. With our case taking longer than expected, Jorge guided us in the right direction in order to speed up our case.
