After 35 years of life and seeking legal representation for a number of issues over the years (including other car accidents that were not my fault), Dan Chiacchia finally showed me what it was like to be represented by a professional who takes pride in his work and cares about getting the best for his clients. I would like to take a moment to explain why this meant so much to me, personally. In March 2024, for the second time in 3 years, someone pulled out in front of me at the last second, and I t-boned them basically going the full speed limit with essentially no time to stop. I have 7 children under 8 years old and my wife is pregnant with our 8th. I am a foreman in construction and we rely on a single income so she can stay home with the kids, so as you can imagine in these times... money is tight! This accident resulted in my PAID OFF subaru legacy being absolutely destroyed, forcing me to look for another reliable used car in a market that is totally overinflated. Of course, despite my perfectly cared for 2011 vehicle being in great shape, I got nowhere near what it was actually worth to me from insurance. Needless to say, this really put my family in an unexpected financial bind, and that's to say nothing of the need to treat my back and neck injuries with chiro appointments and massage therapy twice a week, indefinitely! That's a lot of time i will never get back. Now to Dan. I already had a case open with another big name law firm (one of the top 2 well known personal auto injury firms around western NY). They had represented me in a nearly identical situation a couple years ago and I receieved a very small (and I mean very small) sum of money as a settlement...after a year and a half. I never even once personally met face to face with anyone from that law firm the entire process; not once. They didn't even know who I was. Even though I was unsatisfied with the results last time, out of ignorance and pressure to make a decision, I didn't know who else to trust so I went back with them again. A couple of weeks later someone I know suggested that I call Dan Chiacchia. With uncertainty, I decided it would be hard to get a worse result than last time, so I decided to do it. Long story short, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Not only did Dan personally sit down with me in his office to gather facts and circumstances relating to the accident (which I'm sure each on his legal team would do if they were assigned to a case), but he kept me informed periodically every step of the way. Furthermore, he was actually *disappointed* in that result, and shockingly called me at one point to share this "bad news" with me!...Turns out I have a pretty weak auto insurance policy that seriously limited the amount he could try to settle for. While that definitely pained me to hear in one respect, that so much was potentially left on the table, I was immediately comforted by the fact that I had gotten the absolute maximum I could for my case, and thankful to have had to pleasure of being represented by such a consummate professional.
