I initially consulted with Attorney Hamm regarding my divorce. Over the course of three separate meetings, I shared sensitive and critical details about my properties and other personal matters. Ultimately, I decided not to retain her services.
Less than a year later, my wife at the time sought her out as legal counsel. Despite my clear objection, Attorney Hamm told her it was acceptable. When this issue was raised in court, the judge immediately halted the case due to the conflict of interest. I have also filed complaints with the state and the appellate court, and actions are currently pending.
In my experience, this situation reflects a serious lapse in professional judgment and ethics.

I hired Denice Hamm for a real estate acquisition ten years ago. Since then, she has represented me on two business transactions, a divorce that involved a custody case, and she has also provided me with personal advice on various legal matters. Anytime I used Denice, her analytical skills and perseverance were instrumental. What impressed me the most was her creativity, confidence, and great communication skills. Denice is a supportive attorney who truly cares. Her advice on how to navigate child custody during the early, sticky period of my separation was spot on. I will always be thankful. I highly recommend Denice Hamm to anyone in need of a family or law attorney.

After wasting time and money on other attorneys, I was referred to Attorney Hamm by a mutual friend. I had a difficult divorce with a difficult opposing lawyer. Ms. Hamm's professional handling of my case was in sharp contrast to any of the others I dealt with. She has a way of making a person feel completely at ease in her office when discussing sensitive issues. My emails and phone calls were responded to quickly and were attentive to my concerns. Attorney Hamm was always very conscious of what my costs were. We had upfront discussions about the risks and costs of each strategy for my case. At no time did I feel pushed a direction that wasn't solely in my best interest. I highly recommend her to anyone.

I have found Denice Hamm to be untrustworthy in handling my case. She didn't return my phone calls or inform me on important court developments that needed my input. She also over-billed me for the work done on my case. I would never recommend her to anyone.

DO NOT hire Denice Hamm! You'll be very sorry. I ended up dismissing her from representing me prior to the conclusion of my case. She violated the retainer agreement, misrepresented my goals, never returned emails or phone calls, and over billed me $600 on my case. I filed a complaint with the New York State Bar Association to have a complete investigation conducted regarding her practice.. She isolates herself from being contacted by: not answering phone calls or emails, no receptionist or live answering service and her office building doors are always locked during normal business hours. I'm contemplating a lawsuit against her..
