Refused to take case because for a case against the city of New York one must file a claim with the NYC Comptroller's office with 90 days. Of course we didn't know that because we were recuperating . We had 7 days left to file the claim before the statute of limitations. I called Ralphson and Levine and after interviewing us via phone conference they took the case and are handling everything. Pena and Khan gave the impression that they are lazy.

I had a terrible experience with this law firm. They utterly failed to grasp the basics of New York's laws and the statute of limitations for my slip and fall case. When I approached them with my injury claim, they outright dismissed me, claiming I needed to file within three months. However, anyone with basic legal knowledge knows that in New York, you have up to three years to file a lawsuit for a slip and fall accident. Save yourself the hassle and find a more competent firm that actually knows the laws they claim to specialize in. My experience with them was an absolute disappointment, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same ordeal.

Outstanding customer service

They lost the case because they filed paperwork incorrectly. They never told me they lost I had to Google it to find out 7 months later. Eventhough it was reinstated 2 years later we had to take any offer they gave out of fear the judge would throw the whole case out due to their error. Beware, David promised a certain settlement amount and in the end STILL owes me 14k and never gave it to me. he denied it later but I have an audio recording of him saying it. Find a firm that at least keeps their word to clients. Not everyone's experience will be the same but mine was awful.
