I am a professional who was unfortunately represented by Charles P Cohen in Essex County Court. All the NEGATIVE reviews of him here on yelp are TRUE !!! Make sure you keep an eye on the "donut" because the "donut" is in his pocket receiving money for doing just about nothing on your case. Its all about the money, not about your case, or well-being. Divorce is not a great place to be, but Charles surely makes it worse, especially the outcome. He is overshadowed by most opposing divorce attorneys and is unorganized, unprepared, obsolete in approach, antiquated, lackluster and always threatening to leave your case. He is frugal on multiple copies, and you would be lucky if he had a copy for the court. I DID ALL HIS WORK, I wrote all court scripts and narratives which he only put on legal margin paper. I came with an organized binder. He came with a mess of scrappy papers in a pilot case. I may as well have represented myself. BE SMART !!!. Pass him by !!! BTW my case was over 4 years long, went to trial, and my total payments to him were in the neighborhood of $100k cash money. Now he is trying to bill me for more.........CASE CLOSED....HE IS THE BEST OF THE WORST !!! Beware.
