BEWARE OF JOHN RYAN TL;DR Please never work with John Ryan :) This review is to warn anyone who is considering working with John Ryan using provable experiences from a case created in March 2024. As I will illustrate below, John Ryan has been verified by the court to have failed to complete his duties, has provided false information on numerous occasions, has used blaming, manipulative language as an attempt to shift the blame to the client for his own mistakes/failures. John Ryan was assigned to me during a traffic ticket violation and failed to complete his required duties to resolve the case. I very clearly wrote my intention to go to court on April 26th, 2024. As of July 14th, 2025, after 15 months of failures to complete his responsibilities described below, misleading advice, weeks/months of no contact, and constantly trying to shift the blame to the client (even though John Ryan was verified by the court to be the only person responsible in finalizing the trial proceedings), John Ryan has made the cowardly decision to withdraw himself from this case (and conveniently avoided all of the issues he caused). Instead of making any steps of going to trial, John Ryan falsely informed me to complete traffic school and make several payments on this case before he would proceed in trial proceedings. The court later verified with me that this was none of that was necessary and my request on April 26, 2024 was enough. The court also verified with me on multiple occasions that John Ryan never contacted the court regarding going to trial, failed to make a Motion to remove the late fees caused by his delay in avoiding trial proceedings, and has directly caused Bench Arrest Warrant statuses to be issued to the client as a result of his failures/avoidance. This is all in despite of the case going into Warrant status in July 2024 and again in 2025, me paying off 90% of the fees over three separate payment cycles, decision based driving traffic school passed, several hundred dollars in late fees, and countless very clear messages to go to trial and remove the late fees. The court verified with me that the only two times John Ryan contacted said court since March 2025 were a one-time extension of payment in Sept. 2024 and a current balance update on the fees in June 2025. One of the worst parts of working with John Ryan is the constant manipulative, blaming language he uses, especially when it's his turn to complete action. Even though he admonished me on multiple occasions not to contact the court, he tried to blame me later on for not contacting the courts myself and ending up literally giving cryptic, one-word responses. His way of talking is very similar to a moody teenage girl. After several weeks and occasionally months of no response, I had to contact the chat administrator every time to get a response from him. Again, please never work with John Ryan :)

I had expected better. There was no planning or counsel given by the lawyer who took care of my proceedings until he started driving on the very morning of the hearing. I kept reaching out confirming details to check if I need to prepare anything for the case but I got no traction until the very last moment, even got an hour notice to join the zoom call if possible on the day of the hearing. I understand that results are never guaranteed in such cases but I had expected you would put in more effort and take care of the case. 415 fine, 4 points, on top of legal fees is literally the worst case scenario I would have expected in this situation, thanks for making it possible.

Mr. Ryan was so very helpful in my case and even in helping me maintain a positive outlook on things during my case. Any situation That renders the use of a lawyer is a stressful one. No matter which side of the paper work you're on and with Mr. Ryan he really eased my mind on a lot of the different hurdles I was facing. He helped me navigate my own ship by placing all cards on the table for me with every choice I needed to make. Never once did he hide an outcome or forget to inform me on things. I hope to not need a lawyer anytime soon but if I should have to call on one again I will be looking him up.
