In May of 2018, I sufferred an injury to my right eye in which I lost most of my sight. The treatment that I received in the hospital emergency room was very poor, and appropriate referral to an eye specialist was not made. I contacted a number of attorneys in order to determine if I had a possible medical malpractice case. Almost all of the attorneys had little experience with my type of injury and did not want to investigate my situation. I was ready to give up, when I contacted Patrick McKnight's firm and completed a telephone intake with his assistant. He called me and assessed my situation in a fairly lengthy telephone consultation. He requested that I give him copies of my medical records from the hospital, as well as subsequent medical evaluations. He reviewed my records, and did additional research in order to determine if my vision could have been restored with available treatments. There was little chance that my case would even be accepted, and virtually no chance of proving negligence by the hospital or having my vision restored by any available treatments.
