Today marks exactly 90 days since I filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy with Fair Fee Legal Services, and I just received my discharge! I am so incredibly happy and feel ready for a fresh start after years of struggling with debt. From the very first consultation, the attorneys and staff were incredibly kind, professional, and responsive. They promptly answered every single one of my questions, no matter how small. They expertly managed all my paperwork, deadlines, and court schedules, making the entire process feel easy and seamless. It's my pleasure to share my positive experience with Fair Fee Legal services. Filing my bankruptcy Was one of my biggest life fears and I was so happy to have the support I received from them in the process. Update 8/25 - Since Seth & Veronica took over we've had a fantastic experience. Everything went smooth fast, felt guided and taken care of and we're 100% happy with our experience thus far. Thank you again. Update 8/7 (adjusted review to 4 stars from the original 2 -will likely be 5 once we file since we feel much more confident) -- We finally spoke directly with the attorney, and it made a big difference. He was knowledgeable, calming, and gave us a much better understanding of our options. We're now moving forward with Chapter 13 instead of Chapter 7 and feel more confident after that call. Honestly, we wish we had spoken with him sooner. We were truly hopeful and excited to work with Fair Fee Legal Services. My husband is a disabled veteran, and we were looking for support and clear guidance through the bankruptcy process. Unfortunately, our experience didn't align with what was advertised. The website states clients will speak directly with an attorney -- we only ever spoke with paralegals. It also says Fair Fee handles most of the legwork with documents, but that wasn't our experience. We submitted hundreds of documents ourselves and were asked for the same ones again during calls. We were even tasked with creating and repeatedly correcting a profit and loss statement, despite already providing thorough information. Our initial consult was with Dianne she was cheerful and thorough, then we were passed to Abby (who didn't seem familiar with our case or documents submitted a week prior to the call), and later Becky who also didn't seem familiar with the our case or documents submitted before our call -- we felt lost and without proper guidance. During one consult with Becky, we were referred to the trustee's website to research, which added to our confusion. During a call with Becky we asked for more guidance and understanding as we knew it was complex and frustrating. One of the hardest parts was being told we qualified for the means test early on, only to later hear we did not. We sent documents of income/expenses very early on in our journey with Fair Fee. We hadn't reached the filing stage yet, and while everyone we spoke with was kind, we ultimately felt this wasn't the right fit. This review isn't to hurt anyone -- just to honestly reflect our experience.
