Joel G. Lonowski

I had Joe Lonowski defending me on a tenant case. He was made aware that I was hit at a red light where I was stopped. The drunk driver hit me in the rear end and it ended up being his third DUI. I did not want Joe to take it because I didn't think he was qualified. He says he's got colleagues down the hall at the Poppe law firm that could help him if he has problems. I was afraid if I turned him down he would mess up my tenant case. He ended up messing that up anyway. I explained my injuries from the start. I've had to correct his letters multiple times to the doctors and if I remember right even the insurance agent. Dealing with PTSD and ADHD his lack of knowing how to do his job in my injuries created an enormous amount of stress. I could never get him on the phone without a hassle where he promised me that would never happen. Due to my frustration by his lack of handling my case properly he decided to withdraw. As of now the only repercussion he can get is for me to file a complaint. What is that process going to do about changing his behaviors. Nothing. But nothing is all I have now. And you're probably saying why didn't you fire him. It's not that easy to find another lawyer to take the case once a lawyer has started it. Plus he's going to get paid regardless of his quitting because of time invested filing fees what not. And me as a consumer can do nothing accept file a complaint. Really. In my opinion Joe Lonowski is the worst example of a lawyer. To me this man is so incompetent he shouldn't even make it as a clerk or a paralegal. I would advise staying clear of Joe Lonowski as your representation. Also don't let that rating that he has fool you either. Not sure how he even acquired that or he had people do it for him. Because he's nowhere close to being the rating he's at as an attorney. The other person that was in the accident with me has gotten paid back in November of 2024. He got me a little pathetic offer which I declined. I told Joe that won't even cover my medical bills. He advised me by saying well you probably won't have to pay them back. I said of course I'm going to have to pay them back. He said no not necessarily. There's a good chance it'll just be brushed under the carpet. That's the kind of representation you're going to get with Joe Lonowski.

I used Joel Lonowski as an attorney in a recent matter. He did a great job making my case worthy. Joel took the time to explain things to me and made the answers understandable. I had several questions about my case that I did not understand. It has been my experience that some attorneys present things in a way of law that can be hard to understand. That was absolutely not the case with Joel. There was a point at which Joel and his secretary had a misunderstanding about my paperwork and he got me right into his office to clear it up. My process was speedy and did not require a lot of my own time. I would have given Joel a 5* the only thing that brought that score down was that when I actually went to my hearing Joel could not be present (Which happens and he did send me a letter in advance notice and I was ok with it). The person who filled in for Joel was unable to answer a few questions I had that day. Joel did call me and clarify those questions. I did worry a little in the mean time. I would strongly recommend Joel Lonowski as an attorney who knows his business. He is a compassionate man! I did not feel like I was being judged for my situation! Thank you Joel! You and your practice did a great job. Your help was appreciated.

Joel has been my family attorney for 20 years. My wife and I consider him to be of great character and he is commitment to actually helping his clients.
