Chapin Law Office

Very affordable with costs and fair practice. The office staff was very friendly, fair, did not judge me, reminded me of court dates and went above and beyond to accommodate me. I would recommend this law firm to everyone; he is retiring but it's worth contacting his office to ask if they are willing to take on your case.

Mr. Chapin is a great attorney. He is honest and compassionate. He doesn't give you the run around or sugar coat what may happen. He does a great job at explaining things in a way you will understand. He has a lot of experience and knowledge. His rates are affordable and he is great about working with people. Mr. Chapin assisted with my custody case. He got everything we asked for and it was very reasonable. Our case had some holes due to the other party not having council. Mr. Chapin was prepared in court to cover those loopholes. He did a fantastic job representing me. I gave 5 five stars. I only had one small issue due to some minor errors with the billing system. This error has since been corrected and was easily corrected with a simple call to the office. I will continue using Mr. Chapin. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone needing help.

Bill gave me a free consultation and genuinely listened to me and understood my situation when I had a hard time finding a lawyer that would give me an opportunity to even do that and his field of expertise doesn't apply in my case but he was able to recognize that I do have a case and is referring me to lawyers that do specialize in my type of situation and is taking the time to speak to these lawyers on his own time in hopes that we kind find help for me. Very kind and selfless person and I'm extremely grateful for his assistance. Highly recommend him!

When called to see if he could pick my case up. He made it as if he was sure of things and that he could help me. I payed him and I barley ever got to speak with him. He always had me speaking with his daughter, legal assistance. He never answered the phone. When he did answer the phone he always brought up how the clock is ticking and how he has other clients to get to. I began to think "I'm your client too". I feel if he was busy and have a lot on his hands he should have informed me ahead of time. I could have went elsewhere. He was very rude , seemed to be arguing with me when all I wanted to get across is as much information as possible. Their was so much information I felt like he was just bypassing or not acknowledging. I felt that it needed to be addressed. He only wanted to call me about what he wanted to say and when he wanted to but I hired him. He told me several times their is procedures and my case is having procedure problems and he could fix them. Seem to be he didn't fix anything with that as he said he would. He stated several times to keep things straight to the point , short and simple. With my child custody case I need as much detailed as possible. It was just unprofessional. I feel like he was pushing me to the side each time . Didn't want to hear me speak. He threatened to withdraw me if I kept talking over him or can't believe his process. At that point I figured I need to withdraw regardless first Seemed to me like he was just going through the motions rather than really trying to help me battle to get my child. Now my money is not refundable. I feel like he used me for my money and won't even discuss about refunded it . His effort was very poor .

Bill Chapin's Law Firm was simply the worst experience I've ever had with a lawyer. Not only was he unresponsive, he was completely dishonest and and worked against me within my case. On numerous occasions I would ask him if we was capable of completing tasks within the scope of his purpose. On almost every request he would literally do the opposite of what I asked and he agreed to do. This undoubtedly made me question his is competence as a lawyer. His negligence not only cost me a loss of time and money he also aided to compromise of my daughters safety. Under NO circumstance would I recommend him or his law firm. There lack of professionalism starts with his subpar paralegals and works it way up to him. Oddly enough the fastest response I received from bill was when I told him I was taking him to the bar. If you want to donate to someone that will exploit you, disregard your request and misrepresent you in court at any level then this is the law firm for you!
