If you are a prospective renter, especially if you are in the military, I urge you to proceed with extreme caution when dealing with Watson & Associates, LLC. My extensive and frustrating three-year tenancy with them culminated in a stressful and unjust finale that required the intervention of Mark Prugh Law Office. From the start, the company engaged in deceptive practices. Our lease was full of hidden fees that were never properly explained. A mysterious $25 monthly "Technology Fee" was charged for no discernible service, and their payment system was rigged with diabolical extra fees for debit card ($10) and E-Checks ($2.49). Maintenance issues were consistently mishandled and unfairly placed on us. When a rock from the gravel yard or street cracked our front door window, the landlord refused to fix it. They insisted we use our renters insurance, which did not cover the damage, leaving us with a $1,065 out-of-pocket expense for a repair that was clearly their responsibility. The final two months, June and July of 2025, were a special brand of unprofessional torment. After dutifully paying my rent for the entire month of July and submitting a proper 30-day notice to vacate on July 1st, their broker, Sheena, threatened us with double daily rent if the keys were not returned by July 28th. This blatant disregard for the law and my rights was the final straw. That's where Mark Prugh Law Office became a lifesaver. Upon hearing our story, the office immediately took decisive action. Mark and his professional team confirmed that under Missouri law, my 30-day notice was valid and that Watson & Associates' demands were illegal. They guided me through the process, providing legal backing and clear instructions on how to handle the broker's predatory tactics. Thanks to their representation, the threatening and unlawful demand for double rent was immediately dropped. The legal muscle and clear communication from the Prugh Law Office protected me from further financial and emotional distress. As someone with military ties, I am particularly appalled at how Watson & Associates takes advantage of tenants, a sentiment echoed by other reviewers. In short, Mark Prugh Law Office turned a hostile and illegal situation into a swift resolution. Their knowledge of landlord-tenant law, especially concerning unfair practices and military tenant rights, is second to none. I cannot recommend them highly enough for anyone, but especially service members, who need a true advocate to protect them from unscrupulous property managers like Watson & Associates, LLC.

Retained him as a lawyer after my divorce so I could contest the results and go back to court. I wasn't able to find a lawyer at the time of the divorce. Paid him $3000 and then covid hit. I was never able to go to court when contacting Mark as he never returned phone calls and the 90 day time line expired. The only thing he ever did was file one motion of continuance. Couldn't even get a hold of him for a refund even after asking his team.

Prough Law office has some mixed reviews but let me say this, if you need a criminal lawyer or something and you are guilty, you can't blame the lawyer if you lose. Blame yourself for breaking the law. I used them for another reason and they helped me with any question I had, worked in a timely manner and my outcome was great on my behalf. I mainly communicated with the paralegal and she mostly replied within a couple hours. They were pricy but it was worth it for my expungement. Of course whether or not it was granted was based on me and my behaviors since then but they advocated for me very well. Thank you Prough Law Office.

Mr.Prugh and his staff were wonderful! I am so happy I was recommended to them. They let me know the process and timeline I was looking at before I even hired them. I cannot say enough great things about this Law Office. I am so thankful for them!
