Retained this attorney January 2023 for a dissolution w/ child(ren) at which time I was informed several times in early 2023 that a "divorce should not be that complicated". I received several emails threatening to drop me and felt like I was being treated as a criminal. I provided evidence and documents of several topics that my ex was doing and somehow it was still turned around on me. We have a trial date set for 17 months after mediation where everything was agreed on. I still have not received an answer of why we even have a trial date. The opposing counsel is requesting communication to get this wrapped up pre-trial and has been unsuccessful. I released him as my attorney in April 2024. I retained a new attorney and they had the opposing counsel on the phone within minutes to get this wrapped up pre-trial. It was continuing being drug out and charged nickel and dime for no forward progression.i wouldn't recommend

I retained him at a 5 thousand dollar retainer. To begin a simple support order in clay county. He used up that retainer, and asked for another 5 thousdand. Yet he had done barely anything but request to the court to begin the case and requested very few documents. I had shared custody of my son. At the start of him representing me. Yet, as I was unable to at another 5,000.00 He withdrew as my attorney. In the end I lost all custody rights to my son. And have not had custody since. Because In clay county family court, if you don't have a lawyer to represent you. YOU LOOSE YOUR RIGHTS . Roffman caused my my rights to my child for 5,000.00 He has no ethics. Don't use him.
