Five Stars. I needed to find a lawyer to handle my personal injury issue. Most turned me away on the first phone call. Then, I called Rick DeVault's office. His staff was professional. I talked with Rick that day. He wanted to meet and talk about the issue. During the first meeting, I believed that I could trust him. He was a straight talker and stayed on point with questions and collecting information. We developed a trust relationship relatively quickly. I tried to give him information the best I could. He kept issues and comments at a legal level. I wanted honesty and he gave me that. Rick gave me lists of what I needed to get for him. He was organized and stayed in touch with me as to where we were in the process of the lawsuit. It was more difficult for him because I was in the process of an international move. There were many more details to attend to within time frames. Rick went above and beyond to help in every part of the process, and it was a long process due to many factors, i.e., Covid, moving, traveling... In the end, the other party offered to settle, and we did so. The outcome was much better than I expected, but fair. Then, after all was done, Rick took one more legal step to help me. I didn't even know about it until he called me while living out of the country to give me more good news. Rick DeVault, as my personal injury lawyer, was the best person to handle my case. He is extremely knowledgeable of the law, trustworthy, and personable. In all honesty, I would recommend him to anyone with a tricky (or not tricky) personal injury case. I respect his integrity and honesty as a lawyer and thoughtful person. If I need any legal services in the future, I would call Rick DeVault first, without question.
