Speaks Suburban Chapel

My sweet momma passed away last month and had already made her arrangements...35 years ago. Since then, Speaks had purchased the Buckner Chapel and Cemetary and were the ones to honor her wishes. I can't express the care, respect, and love that was shown to me and my mom by Robert Watson and his entire team. They made everything easier and handled so much more than I thought possible with gentleness and grace. Thank you so much, Robert, Christine, and Jim. I'll never forget you.

Katie and the staff are very knowledgeable, professional, and caring. Katie spent time getting to know us and to guide us in making the right decisions for our loved ones. They continue to reach out long afterwards. I'm very well pleased with everything they did. A very compassionate team.

If I could give Speaks 10/5 stars I would in a heartbeat. From the beginning Speaks went above and beyond with their support, comfort, guidance & kindness in helping us with a heartbreaking and devastating loss of a loved one. They worked effortlessly to make sure everything from the visitation to the funeral went smoothly and perfectly. Losing a loved one can be extremely overwhelming but Speaks made a painful process into a very heartfelt experience for our entire family. Thank you to the entire staff for helping honor our loved one so beautifully while being so gracious and sympathetic to our family. You will not regret using Speaks, they are truly wonderful.

On December 31, 2024, my husband passed unexpectedly. My daughters contacted Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence for me and had an appointment set so we could make arrangements for their Dad. We can not say enough about the compassion their staff showed us. We mainly dealt with Robert making the funeral arrangements. His guidance was greatly appreciated. The selection for casket and vault were wonderful. Speaks also had examples of flower arrangements. Robert worked closely with my daughters to make sure everything was perfect for the visitation and burial. I had so many people tell me my husband's services were the best they had been to. Speaks did an amazing job putting the pictures of my husband in a video. They also offered to have a Memorial book made for us and it is something we will have along with the video forever. Another service they offered was taking my husband's finger prints so we could have a charm made for a necklace. I wear mine every day. A few days after his service, Speaks reached out to us to see how we were doing and to let us know they had a company they worked with when we wanted to order my husband's headstone. So back to Speaks we went and met with Jessica. Another wonderful experience. My husband's stone was set last week and it is perfect. THANK YOU EVERYONE AT SPEAKS FOR YOUR COMPASSION AND HELP DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME OF OUR LIFE.
