Client Testimonials

Client

Do not put your future in the hands of this man. Mr. Lewis took my partner's case "as a favor" for a "special price." From the first day dealing with him to the very last, not once did he address her with her correct first name, and it's a simple one. This lack of care, attention, and effort is entirely indicative of what he put forth in our case. Across several occurrences, not once did he show up to court before or on time. Nor did he come prepared - he would frequently say he'd have necessary conversations with the prosecution and other involved entities, but would show up late, day-of, and amid intermittent availability to counsel his actual client, he'd be scrambling around trying to find, email, or otherwise contact those individuals completely last-minute to have those conversations... leaving little chance to understand what could be expected or what decisions would need to be made - and with too little information and time to properly make them. Frequently we'd contact him with questions or seeking additional information from him by phone or text, which were routinely unresponded to. He'd say he'd get back with info, and would not - again, usually until in-person immediately before a hearing. When it was gently suggested to him that we were struggling with his lack of responsiveness and clear communication, he'd give defensive, snide responses about how he's got stuff to do and how lucky we are to even have his help for "such a good price." Communication, in person, was always too fast, garbled, unclear, and too often his suggestions of what we should expect from the oncoming hearing & after were different from the results. A significant piece of property was involved & in question, and going into the last hearing, we still had questions as to what the status & options were for it - questions that had been asked of him, that he did not address with us. In that hearing, we were informed that the property was now lost and unrecoverable to us, because certain filings/actions had not been taken up to that point - ones he never informed or advised us of, despite the questions exactly to that end. He lied to the court, saying that immediately before the trial, he had discussed with his client and the affirmative decision had been made for that result. In no way had that discussion or decision happened. Also, technically wearing a suit for court appearances, the degree of unkempt and... schlubby... was a bit embarrassing to be represented by. It may have been, hypothetically, a "great price," but when next to no work goes into the case, such incredibly low care or effort is given - again, let something as basic as the client's own common and simple name be an example - and what little effort is done badly, unprofessionally, procrastinated fully, with terrible communication in a number of ways, with attitude when feedback was given, and with dismissive deception toward one key result of the case after failing to address it at all with us, no, it's not a great price, it is theft. We would have found someone who would actually fulfill their end of the agreement, even if it had cost more. Do not put your future in the hands of this man.

Thank you Scott Lewis for all of your hard work and dedication. The outcome of my case was far more than what I could expect. My experience with your firm was the best I've ever had! I was greatful to have you as my attorney. Scott fought for me hard!!! He got me 8 months in the Workhouse with probation in Hennepin Co. with a 1st Degree Controlled Substance charge from what could have been a 134 month prison term with the amount of existing felony points I already had. That was truly a miracle. I thank God for using you in such a way and retaining favor in that courtroom. I felt safe and confident with Scott as my attorney. Always on time and prepared. Thank you so much! I highly recommend the firm of Lewis and Associates
