A Decade Later, Still Grateful for Shawn Worden's Representation I rarely leave reviews, especially for something that happened nearly a decade ago--but after reading other reviews on here, I felt compelled to share mine. My first encounter with the justice system was devastating. I was charged with a crime I did not commit and assigned a court-appointed attorney who showed up on the day of trial and said, "I got nothing." With no support and no options, I pled guilty and was placed on probation. I followed every rule and completed 354 days of a 12-month term, until a new probation officer took over and accused me of falsifying a signature on a counseling attendance form. She not only violated me but also tried to stack on more severe chargels by combing through 11 months of previously approved paperwork. While out on bond for that violation, a separate warrant was issued for domestic violence--based on a neighbor's interaction with police I . when I was not even home. I was arrested again, and at that point, I knew I needed real representation. That's when I contacted Shawn Worden. From the moment we spoke, Shawn treated me with dignity and compassion. He saw through the chaos and recognized that I was not a hardened criminal--I was someone who had been failed by the system. He was thorough, prepared, and unwavering in his defense. In court, he not only proved my innocence but also exposed the mistreatment I endured from the probation officer. Despite her recommendation of two more years of probation and jail time, I walked away with just 2.5 days in jail and no further probation. Had I known Shawn when I was first arrested, the entire ordeal could have been avoided. His professionalism, empathy, and courtroom skill changed the trajectory of my life. I recommend him to anyone who needs a strong, principled attorney who will fight for justice and treat you like a human being--not a case file. Thank you, Shawn. I'll never forget what you did for me.
