Ihrie O'Brien Law

September of 2022 Ihrie O'Brien was recommended to me by a couple at church, for my probate case. I have never been so disappointed! After waiting a year to hear from them, I finally called to see what was happening only to discover my case had fallen through the cracks, the lawyer who had been working on my case went to another firm and my case was not turned over to anyone. After bringing this to their attention, Mr. Ihrie said he would take care of me, I again didn't hear anything from them for weeks so decided I should follow up, again no one was working on the case, I left several calls without them being returned. Sent emails still nothing, I finally gave up and decided to proceed after the holidays. Finally July of 2024 my case was presented before the judge, from that point it took about a year. There were other issues between them the Title Company and my realtor where I was not provided the official seal documents they needed. A year process drug out for 3 years they are nice people, but I would never recommend them as efficient lawyers. I felt like they were nickel and diming me when they had constantly dropped the ball.

I also had a terrible experience with this law firm, same as Bryan Stowell, especially with a guy named Robert Ihrie. Communications delayed for weeks and months at a time, calls not returned, and also not responded to. If you have any case at all, DO NOT waste your families precious time and money.

My experience with Ihrie O'Brien Law has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. They were hired to handle the probate for my deceased mother's estate. The problems started in November of 2023 when they missed a filing deadline. I informed them of this fact after receiving a letter from the court which said I had 28 days to comply. When that deadline was also missed, I received a court ordered notice to appear. They said they would check with the court and get back to me. More than a week passed without hearing from them, so I contacted the court myself and learned the appearance notice was dismissed (thank goodness). Fast forward to July 1, 2024 and I had not yet received documentation showing the probate was closed, so I contacted them and requested a status. After checking with the court, they claimed it was closed mid March but did not get a certificate from the court. They said they would acquire a copy and provide it later that day, or the next. Weeks went by without hearing from them so I again had to contact the court myself and received the document within three days. When I first met with them, I was informed the probate process averaged five to six months. This has taken over 13 months and would still be lingering without my constant follow up. Hoping to avoid leaving a negative review, I wrote a letter to the partners (Ihrie and O'Brien) expressing my concern with how these affairs were handled. There was no response. I hired them in a time of need and in grief to take burden off of my family. Instead, they have fostered uncertainty and stress.

Deborah O'Brien came to us as a recommendation from a friend and has been instrumental in giving us our lives back amid an especially challenging time; and we have subsequently highly recommended her services to numerous others. She is an incredibly talented attorney, smart and tenacious. She navigated our negotiations and advocated for my family with an unmatched professionalism and pragmatism in the face of the most irrational demands. She is absolutely straightforward in all her dealings, and speaks frankly and plainly about realistic outcomes, potential paths forward, and the associated financial implications of each scenario. I wish we had found her sooner, but from here on out we will retain Deb's services for any future needs. We truly owe her more than words can express.

I had an appointment with attorney Robert Ihrie today. Best experience I could ever imagine. Very polite, professional, knowledgeable, man with high standards, manners treaded me with respect. Even though that was my first visit I was already relieved and left the office feeling so much better, from that point I knew that I am in the best hands. I would always refer Mr. Ihrie to all my friends and family for them to experience the most professional and helpful care. Thank you
