The charge: Misdemeanor - Stalking Maze came highly recommended from another Criminal Attorney. I reached out to Maze, and he was quick to respond. After retaining him, he immediately began working my case. As the Pre-Trial day approached, he had collected all the relevant information to go into the court room and requested the case be dismissed due to "No Probable Cause", based on the little evidence that the Prosecutor provided. The judge allowed the Prosecutor a few more weeks to obtain some more evidence. Maze requested a Bench Trial, since it appeared he was able to read the judge's body language and felt that the quickest way to a Not Guilty verdict was to keep the ruling with the judge. The day of the Trial, Maze and I walked into the courtroom, and I sensed he had a certain confidence about him that made me feel confident that a "Not Guilty" verdict would be the end result. The Prosecutor brought 3 witnesses to the stand to answer questions. Maze was able to undo 2 hours of testimony within 30 seconds with each witness. I observed the witnesses becoming uncomfortable answering his line of questioning as they were getting caught in their web of lies. Maze's closing statement was strong. He spoke with pure confidence. He summarized exactly what the courtroom witnessed which was exaggerated stories that had no basis nor truth. He showed the courtroom that the Prosecutor was fishing for a story that told a particular narrative....and the judge saw exactly what we all witnessed in the courtroom. The verdict: Not Guilty
