Going through a divorce has many tentacles. It was a place I never wanted to go but life and God sometimes has other plans. A friend recommended Mary to me and I have not once regretted it. Mary was firm, professional and caring. She kept me informed and educated. She was supportive in her words, professional in her demeanor and a superb advocate. If I needed help in the future (not another divorce though, ha ha), I would not hesitate to reach out to her. Thank you, Mary.

Mary Benedict is an excellent mediation attorney. She is extremely thorough, fair and experienced. My experience was wonderful and my clients have had similar.

Push 5-7 years forward. I think Mary Benedict has either grown, matured, or just became more educated (maybe I have as well). She has worked with me in the past, but in this last case after not speaking with her for several years....she listened, understood, and made educated decisions/suggestions. I do think people can change and maybe she has, I will keep this post updated in the future as time moves on. I moved her from 1 star to 3 stars. She is fair in some aspects and hard as rock and in other places. You definitely have to be strong to win in any child/divorce case. Below is my previous review to see how drastically things have changed.... My experience with Mary Benedict was horrible. She did not see any of my side as a GAL> I do not know if she is still being recommended as GAL through the courts but hopefully the Grand Rapids court systems is listening to these reviews online. My son has been living with me for so many years with the mother disobeying the court orders and not respecting the courts by disregarding her parenting time, yet Mary Benedict still fights for the mother whom does not show the interest in taking care of her child. Mary has wrote many scathing letters to myself to try and scare me off, it sounds like the other attorneys are well aware of her tactics and they make work against the weak...but not myself and hopefully not you (the ones that have to deal with her).

Mary represented me in my Divorce. She did a wonderful job answering all of my random questions. She pointed out any changes in paperwork so I could easily see them and review them. She helped me gain the confidence I need in such a difficult time.

Mary did a fantastic job representing me!! She is very kind and always knew what to say. She kept me calm and collected and I felt very confident in her hands. I highly recommend her.
