If I could give zero stars I would. Denise is the most hands off, absent and non caring guardian I have ever witnessed. Over the last several years, I have seen the way she treats those she is supposedly advocating for - I even recommended her ONCE, but learned very quickly that I needed to lead individuals and families in the opposite direction as her, which I now happily and confidently do. She makes life altering decisions for people she has never even laid eyes on, spoken to or knows anything about. After working and/or serving their country their entire lives, she doesn't allow them access to their own money to even buy a cup of coffee or a winter coat. When asked about progress with cases, she lies about the steps she has taken to help the individuals and seems to "stall" for months at a time, forgetting she spun the same lie to them months earlier. Oddly, she doesn't seem to stall when it's time to pay herself though. Her entire office takes 2 hour "lunches" every day where they refuse phone calls and she closes her office for weeks at a time throughout the year, so she is very rarely accessible, nor does she take phone calls. She is the epitome of why guardians have the untrustworthy and soiled reputation that they do. She has been a complete disappoint to every person and family I have known who has had the misfortune of being assigned to her. I will continue to tell others what kind of a person she is and to advocate for those who deserve better.
