We honestly thought this law firm would be amazing because of all the positive reviews, but now I'm convinced those "good reviews" are probably from their own staff. Our real experience was awful from start to finish. The bond hearing was a total disaster. Dr. Jon came across as completely unprofessional and unprepared. He made a basic and careless mistake during the hearing - something not even my 11-year-old would have gotten wrong. Because of that error, the judge refused to grant bond, even though it was basically certain before the hearing. That single mistake changed everything for the worse. And what's worse, Dr. Jon's attitude in court was pathetic. He was apathetic, submissive, and kept his head down the whole time. Our detained relative said it perfectly: if a lawyer stands firm, the judge usually listens. But Dr. Jon just let the judge walk all over him. It was embarrassing to watch. Then came the individual hearing, and it got even worse. Instead of defending the asylum claim--which was already agreed upon--he immediately asked for voluntary departure. We couldn't believe it. That's not just disappointing, that's a complete betrayal of trust. This lawyer is simply terrible. His mistakes, his lack of courage, and his failure to defend his own client caused real damage to our family. We regret ever trusting him and wouldn't recommend this firm to anyone. Stay far, far away from this firm. If I could, I'd give them (-) 5 stars.
