I hired this firm to represent me in a case where a false arrest was made on me from Frederick police department was made on me and being arrested for disturbing the peace. During this firm, I was supposed to work with a Mr. Copper to represent me. I was than told less than 24 hours before the hearing that my lawyer was switched and they outsourced to an out-of-firm lawyer named Thomas J Madden JR. and was highly ineffective. In the few hours I talked to Mr. Madden, he yelled, belittled, and also kept saying Maronick law never sent him any video evidence from the police body cameras that Maronick law had and never sent to the lawyer. The lawyer than started to ask me questions about things not even related to the fact at hand like and attempted a complete invasion of privacy and violation of state and federal law. I said I don't feel comfortable working with him as he is unstable and I will be looking to go after him legal wise now since he was asking questions that had nothing to do with the case and was asking me questions about things to more cover himself now instead of looking out for his client (as he says he also wasn't going to fight at court to represent me effectively for a crime that wasn't made). He then proceeded to to threaten my life saying he will "blow my head off" with a gun. I was very upset about the matter and contacted the firm numerous times via email about this subject. Instead of accepting what happened from the lawyer they hired outside their firm on my case last minute (to which he had a horrible avvo rating and madden doesn't even have a website for his firm/practice), they try to deceive the integrity of the courts to avoid liability for Mr. Madden jr's actions and say I was verbally abusive to the staff which isn't true. They completely took out of context with me being upset about a threat on my life from a lawyer they hired to put on my case last minute outside their firm in order to deceive the integrity and sanctity of the courts and law here to look out for their firms reputation and actions realizing they made a massive mistake with Mr. Madden Jr. I paid $2000 to be represented and was a waste of money that I didn't have for a firm who doesn't look out for the best interest of clients. This was a horrible experience and I would recommend another firm as this firm is avoiding doing the right thing ethically, morally, and lack of any accountability for what they did to me and also the trauma it has caused me.

They deserve 10 stars. Im beyond thankful for everyone here and a extra thank you to Carey Ward. He is a all-star for real. I walked into court today full of anxiety and he handled everything perfectly and i got to go home to my son and my family today and that's all I wanted honestly. He answered every question I asked and had a answer to every question the judge had quickly. I can't thank you enough. You guys rock and huge shout out to Carey Ward. 10/10 highly recommend.
