My wife and I are getting on in years and we decided to seek out an eldercare attorney to guide us through the process of safeguarding our assets after we pass and make the asset transition to our kids as seamless as possible. We decided on Gershberg & Associates after reading Google reviews. We found Mr. Gershberg (Rick) and his paralegal staff (Talbott and Christina) to be welcoming and very interested in giving us the guidance we need. The initial conversation was probably two hours as we got to know each other and lay out to Rick what we wanted. Actually we found it hard to articulate what we wanted but Rick, with his decades of experience, helped us with unfamiliar terms with in-depth explanations. Our heads were swimming when we were done but we came up with a concept of a plan. The next visit, another several hours, was more discussion and clarification and providing information to them to them to help them further define documents that accurately reflected our wishes. We were hung up however on how the trusts would dovetail with our assets with our asset manager. Rick, recognizing our concerns, got our financial advisor on a conference call call with us present. After that call our financial guy said "you are in good hands"! That Rick and our advisor took an unscheduled 40 minutes out of their busy days to allay our fears was the icing on the cake for us.
