DO NOT COME HERE **this is an inclusion to my previous review*
this hospital is the worst experience i've ever had in my life. i was admitted and was so embarrassed to ask for a TOOTHBRUSH after being in there for over 24 hours. apparently, you're supposed to receive a health kit upon admission, either time i was never given one, forced to sit there in my fifth. nurses openly curse and barge into rooms without knocking. i was a high fall risk patient who was left alone in the restroom when a nurse said she would come back and never did. thank God i didn't fall because i had to crawl my way back into my bed. STAY AWAY!!!!! old review: most of the nurses were amazing however the emergency rooms were dirty and had trash everywhere. i went there for something so simple and ended up being admitted without even being told i was. i was never told about anything about my treatment or what they were doing. i was forced to stay even though i told them i didn't want to. healthcare is about communication with the patients and for me to be more scared of what my 'nurses/doctors' are doing then my illness is the worse thing a hospital could do.

There is truly too much to put into this. First point some of your intake staff need an attitude adjustment. When asking a patient questions they shouldn't have an attitude. There is no sign pointing out where the waiting room is during the renovations, which is confusing. We waited an hour before first being seen. During our waiting time which is has so far been 4 hours. At least one person mentioned that blood had been needed to be drawn again because their first sample had coagulated. My fiance received incorrect medical information as she didn't get a blood test but her MyChart has a blood sugar result. I don't know much, but I believe is a HIPAA violation. Altogether very unhappy with the visit

If I could give zero stars I would. I can't begin to tell you how unprofessional the nurses and staff were in the emergency department. Its crazy to think that these people are the ones we have to go to when our love ones are in need and they smirk and make rude jokes as if you can't hear them. The only person who even stopped to listen or show some remorse was the security guard at entrance. He was the only one who deserved a position there. I will never do there again for help for my loved one or myself. I'd rather drive hours to get help then feel that way again.

I was fearful in venturing to this hospital, given the negative reviews. I feel the bulk of them stem from the falling rate of intellectualism in its geographic location. My experience was as pleasant as imaginable. I was triaged within minutes. I had tremendous lower back and abdominal pain. James Ryan, P.A., administered physical tests, listened to my concerns, ordered additional (and relevant) diagnostic tests, and accurately diagnosed my issue as musculoskeletal. He was very concise through the entirety of our interaction, asked many relevant questions and quelled all concerns. Thanks James and the Meritus team!

My experience at this emergency department on 11/7/25 was the worst experience of my 62 years on this earth. I've been a long time resident of this area and have utilize this hospital at minimal. After what I've gone through today, I will drive 100 miles to go to the nearest emergency room where I am not treated like a piece of garbage, or respected or listen to doctors and nasty nurses. I went with what I thought was a kidney stone was in Severe pain, and was made to sit in a wheelchair for five hours As the place was overrun, and when I say overrun, I mean at least 200 people and waiting areas while they build on their triage rooms and causing a complete debacle in the facility. Makes no sense to build onto an ER during the day when you were busy, why don't you build the building outside of the ER, it's like trying to save a ship that sinking I am contacting the administrator of the facility And voicing my concerns. The only thing that I can say is that if these people don't want to do their jobs and they shouldn't be working here. Choose A new career path, people! So after being there almost 7 hours today, I still have no diagnosis as to what the issue is with my health! This is not even subpar care I felt like I was living in a remote area of India Trying to get helped. I will not be going back!!
