I considered hiring Amy. I don't think she is a good fit for some people, especially me. She presents herself with the attitude that her clients work for her. She will flat rudely interrupt you and tell you to stop talking about something or that she doesn't care about something that is important to you. Before you hand her a 5k retainer, I advise you to read her fee agreement very carefully. I asked her about what she thought my case would cost. She responded, "I have no idea !" For me, that was a huge red flag. An experienced lawyer, as she claims to be, should have been willing to give me a range. After reading her fee agreement it was clear to me that she expects her clients to do exactly what she tells them to do as she told me boldly during our consultation and to sign her agreement that has no boundaries or limits to protect you. She basically expects a blank check. The final decision maker for me was when she told me, and I quote that she "would not tolerate her clients, not doing as she says."
