Client
Attorney's cockiness is out of this world, even as far as lawyers go. Nice picture of the wine bar / wine cellar "Grapes". No picture of his office when you google this business, it shows the wine bar that has all the frontage of this small nothingness strip. His law office (a whopping three people - these two and a secretary) is probably a closet or hole in the wall that nobody would want to show anyway. Does not seem to plan at all for cases so think twice about employing him for that reason alone. The day of trial, minutes before going into courtroom, he pulls out a highlighter and starts reading and highlighting a contract, yet suit was filed naturally months before. Grasps at straws in thin air that have nothing to do with the case at all to try to derail the other side. But, since his clients (at least the one I sued) are likely con artists and liars who hornswoggle the public and hang their heads down low and look guilty as sin during trial, I guess that's all an attorney can really do for them. He is not much different himself as far as having no scruples. His forte is making baseless threats. If you defend yourself pro se against him he will email and text you that he will "tell the court to fine you for 'intentional misconduct' yet he doesn't say what the misconduct is. Obviously, there is none or else he would have up and done it, and since when does an attorney call the shots over the legal system and threaten to bark orders at the Court?? Unreal. While making his threats, he will likely insult your intelligence (again the cockiness coming through) in the process, talking to you like you quit school in the 6th grade. He told me, "I will tell the court to impose a 'monetary sanction' on you if you do not comply with this demand in 48 hours" (like a kidnapper's ransom note). Then, he defined for me that a 'monetary sanction' is a fine because I must have no intellect or vocabulary by virtue of not having a law degree I suppose. That sounds very "Trumpian" if you ask me. An attorney for 35 years and this is his "A" game? Sad. I never had any involvement with his partner, Mr. Turgeon, these comments apply only to Von Diezelski. I filed a complaint against him with the Attorney Ethics Commission, not that I expected them to do anything (and they didn't) and I doubt they even notified him of the complaint. But, people shouldn't make baseless threats to others, especially accusing them of lawbreaking or other sanctionable conduct when they've never broken any law. Period. I suppose making threats is allowed if your vocation is attorney. In sum, there are about 34,000 barred attorneys in MD, I'm sure you will have no problem finding competent counsel for your matter that can win cases on merit without resorting to these tactics.
