We were both retired, living our dream. We were in our 6th year touring the country as fulltime RVers. We were involved in a collision, totalling our truck and seriously injuring Richard so much so that we had to abandon our dream of life on the road forever. We filed a lawsuit against two parties - the other driver from the Netherlands and hard to track down, and the rental car company who filed a Motion to Dismiss, tied up in the court. The case settlements came with attached liens which Meagan scrubbed and negotiated reductions with five insurance companys. Her hard work and followup ensured clear final settlement checks to us. Beatrice Mattison, new as Litigation Case Manager with Garmey Law, joined our case around the time of our depositions and worked closely with Meagan preparing exhibits for trial. She was also excellent backup to Meagan for questions/concerns. Peter did a trial prep exercise with Rick telling his story directly to Beatrice (playing a juror) and she was a compassionate confidence builder for him for which he is very grateful. Mediation and Deposition were two key milestones in our case where we verbally answered questions by a third party. We needed coaching and Peter mentored us on what to expect, how to answer a question and how to present ourselves favorably. Around that time, Peter asked Terry to join the team. From this point on, the other parties wanted to negotiate settlements. Together, Peter and Terry gave us sound advice on the monetary risks of not accepting an offer of settlement and opting to go to trial. In the end, we accepted two settlements which in aggregate were incredible - more than we ever expected early on.
