This is the worst and most unprofessional law office in St. Landry Parish. They will not call you back. They will lie to you and take your money and not do anything for you but piss off whoever you got grievance is with he is so unprofessional. Could not believe how unprofessional these guys really are. I'm sorry I ever attempted to do business with these people. Do not waste your time or money.

Trash..... paid them to complete my birth certificate months ago about $2,000 every time I call for the progress and results they lie to me, they give me excuses they have no idea what they are doing.... slow as hell with progress but fast as hell to take your money.... my advice don't pay these people till they complete their job... if you pay them in full before the work is done... you will be stuck fighting with them to do there job.... I do not advise anybody work with Cheryl Albert guillory's paralegal she is lazy and does not do her job she makes nothing but excuses and will even lie to you saying she has clients in her office every single time you call as of 04/23/2025 its been a year now they have been paid in full.. iv gotten no results or progress yet and now im about to get THE BAR ASSOCIATION involved bc im tired of waiting for my case to be delt with... I promise you I'm getting sick and tired of this and I'm fixing to get the bar association involved I will hire another lawyer in suit Albert Lea guillory's office specifically they're paralegal Cheryl

A used car salesman in a lawyers suit. Hired him for a child custody case believing him to be trust worthy. Had several people tell us he was fishy but we were naive and went with it anyway. First thing he did to get us was immediately call for a retrial at the hearing and got it scheduled for several months later. This was so he could siphon more money out of us, but we were under the impression that this was to our benefit. We went through several months of hard preparation, and of course many paychecks handed over to him, after he convinced us that with enough hard work this case was ours to win. We went in with testimonies and letters from family members, friends, teachers, legal documentation, a ton of ammunition against the opposition, and speeches ready to make our case and win it. On the day of trial Elbert disappeared for a meager 5 minutes to talk with the opponents lawyer in a back room meeting with just the 2 of them. When he came out he said he'd come up with a "plan" and that we should go with it. On that day there was no hearing but rather the 2 lawyers just signed off on a settlement plan where we not only didn't keep custody of our child but actually forfeited half of it with no contest. Even then he assured us that this was part of his "plan" and that it was only temporary. He agreed on a 90 day trial period of 7/7 between the parents. Once we'd found out his "plan" only after being mid way into the hearing we tried to get him to reconsider. That's when he blatantly threatened to walk of the court room on us right then and there if we didn't agree to the settlement he just threw in our faces. After this was done we'd been left shell shocked and unsure of what was going on, then he cut all contact with us and refused to speak with us no matter what we tried. Now we're finding out this agreement was no trial period at all and instead after the period is up this will become permanent for our family. He'd claimed their would've been a court date at the end of the 90 period where we'd have made our case and won the trial. Needless to say that never existed. So we were swindled out of our money, abandoned, left penniless, and lost the full custody of our child with no foreseeable way to rectify this. This man can not be trusted.

WORST PLACE TO GO FOR HELP WITH ANYTHING! These people promised to help me, I paid them so much money, just for me to call the courthouse myself to find out that the money I paid them, didn't even go to filing anything for me! None of my paperwork got filed, I never seen a judge, never got a court date. I paid these people 2 years ago. I finally gave up, and decided to cut my losses on the money I paid them and go for another lawyer. You will never get to talk to Elbert. I have spoke with him twice in the 2 years, you either get put on hold, or hung up on. Or if you do get them to answer the phone, "call me back later" "call tomorrow" "call next week". You will not get any of your questions answered, you will literally pay them money for no reason at all, bc whatever it is that needs to be done, will not get done. I don't normally do reviews, ever. But this place is so terrible, that I had to let people know, so hopefully no one else falls into the same trap. FIND ANOTHER LAWYER, you will not be sorry you did!!!!!!! -3000 (for all the money I paid them that I won't ever get back!!)

I have known Senator Elbert Lee Guillory for over 20 years! He has helped keep my family together through 3 different custody cases over a twenty year span. I owe every memory we have ever made together as a family to this man and his staff! There are not enough words to explain how grateful I am that he has always been just a phone call away!
