My husband had questions about succession papers that were drawn up years ago by this law firm. He spoke with Joe Mize, who drafted the paperwork. A few months later, my husband followed up with the law firm with further inquiries. By that time, Mr. Mize had taken ill and was no longer taking questions/clients. However, when my husband called, he was not given this knowledge at first. He was given the run around several times until finally he asked the secretary point blank whether or not Mr. Mize would ever get back to him. When the secretary confirmed that Mr. Mize was no longer working, my husband asked for the name of another lawyer at the firm that could continue to further provide us assistance. The secretary said that she doesn't know who in their office could do it and my husband was basically told it wasn't their problem anymore (even though the papers were originally drafted by this very law firm). We were never given any help about what steps to take next or even the name of another firm to consult. Mr. Mize retiring is no issue and absolutely his right. However, we were really displeased with how the matter was handled going forward and felt that they cared not that they left us high and dry. We were left in the middle of a consultation and no one at the firm stepped in to pick up the slack.

So far so good. They have been very nice and helpful. I appreciated all of their help.
