I watched one of my loved ones go through an excruciating time having Douglas Brown as his lawyer for his custody case. He didn't seem to do much work at all for the amount of time and money spent. He was distant and would fail to keep us updated on anything until we'd finally have to resort to nagging him. We have a recorded call with Douglas that he doesn't even remember having. He never seemed compassionate about the problems at hand and ultimately ended up deciding to drop the case. Now we are out $6,000 and feel as if we are still at square one. I'd strongly advise to do your research before thinking of hiring him.
