I lost my Mama last year and had no idea what to do. Attorney Ed Hodskins walked me through every step of the way. He was patient and took time to educate me so I would understand. People say it's difficult to find an honest lawyer, Ed Hodskins is an absolute gem of a person and his professionality is exemplary.

We met with Nick Volk recently for a probate matter related to my mothers passing. The estate value was very small, but Mr. Volk treated it like an important matter, he prepared for the meeting and throughout the process we were treated well by him and his office staff. He gave us excellent advice and took the time to explain the process thoroughly.

I have never felt completely insulted by anyone in a long time. My wife's mother passed and we needed help with probate and how it proceeds. We never had to deal with before, so we're completely new to this. We reached out to Nick Volk for council, and he informed us of what we needed to do. Everything he informed us to do, we did. The problem started with the fact everytime I called to either get updated or find out what we needed to do next, I was always told " I will have him call you back". This goes on for weeks. With no return call. I them inform them that I was looking for new council since i could never get a return call. I could go into more depth but long story short, Mr. Volk told us one thing and did another. When asked about paperwork that Mr. Volk informed was mailed out First Class, his secretary tells me it doesn't even exist. Mr. Volk tells me that he withdrew it because the of the size of the property and it was undetermined who the true property owner is. I understand the fact of not knowing who the true owner is, but why wasn't i given this information immediately after he saw the deed and came to this conclusion. The deed and other information was given to him well before we decided to seek other council. Why would he wait until after i sought new council to tell me that he withdrew it, let alone lead me to believe that the paperwork was sent and we just have to wait on the process. No matter how you explain it, we were LIED to at some point in this process in an unprofessional manner. Very, very disappointed in how we were handled while dealing with the aftermath of my wife's lose of her Mother. God has a plan and Thacker Law office won't be a part of it.
