RICE LAW

He coerced my daughter into taking a plea. He stated to her if you don't take the plea you'll probably wind up losing your kid and never getting her back. She just found out she passed a 90-day hair drug test and it didn't mean nothing to Mikey and that's the reason why CPS was claiming negligence. It wasn't even brought up in court, but if she failed it it would have been brought up I guarantee you! Hell, Mikey might have mentioned the drug test if it was positive....... Incompetent!! So-called lawyer is appointed through the courts for somebody that doesn't have the money to hire a private lawyer. I'm not 100% sure but I believe it's at a reduced price and that's pretty much what you get in the courtroom when Mikey is standing there doing nothing for his client. this is an client that desperately needs somebody to stand up and do his job like a man and not be scared that they might not call him back for another unfortunate client.

Mike Rice is the most unethical attorney that I've ever known. He was hired for my brother-in-law who is currently in a rehab facility. Mike was hired back in February and did ABSOLUTELY nothing on this divorce. I had to call him in March to see if he was going to go see my brother-in-law to get his signature on the divorce paper that was to be filed in court. He stopped and did that and everything ended after that. He has had no contact with anyone or done any work on this divorce case. But, he certainly cashed our check. I sent him a nasty email about three weeks ago and also ask that the money be returned so we could retain an attorney that would work for us. He apparently didn't like what I said to him so he blocked me from the phone and my email. My brother-in-law requested that the money be returned and as of yet we have not received a dime of our money back. Not sure what his excuse is but I'm getting really impatient. DO NOT hire this man as in my opinion he is unethical. He takes the money and does no work. He gives attorneys a bad reputation.

I feel compelled to leave additional feedback on the most recent matter that Mike has assisted me with. As of today, Because of Mikes hard work and dedication to helping me and my daughter, we were able to permanently remove my teen daughter from an abusive situation with my ex husband. Mike went above and beyond what I could have ever expected him to do, and when it came time to play hard ball and fight, he did just that! I will definitely recommend Mike to anyone I know. If it were not for him, my daughter would not be home with me, safe, happy and free to live a normal teen life without the threat of mental, emotional and physical abuse.

I met Attorney Michael L Rice several years ago when he was handling a bankruptcy for another individual that I know. He was the first bankruptcy attorney I thought to call when I needed his services and I don't regret it at all. He has helped me get through a very trying time not just as a bankruptcy attorney but also as a friend. I would highly recommend him and his services to everyone that I know. You're the best Mike! Thanks for always being there for me!!

Let me start off by saying he's only getting a one star because I can't give him zero. When I went to his office back for a divorce in January of 2018, I was referred by a male friend of mine, Mr. Rice said he had been "screwed over" in the past and I was required to pay up front or put a deposit down. I agreed because I understand what it means to get taken advantage of. This man has made my life hell for the last 8 months. The communication is poor, when there is any. If you have a question or concern don't expect an answer anytime soon, he'll send you a two sentence response that won't answer anything and is cryptic as all get out. He is disorganized. On multiple occasions he got me and another case confused to the point he said I needed to come in and resign paperwork only to find out when I got to his office I had in fact signed said documents. He has given me multiple dates as to when my paperwork would be done then to come back and say "oops I didn't file it" or "something went wrong but I'll fix it" then it was never fixed or filed. It took me firing him and having another attorney calling him to get to actually get this done. My divorce should've been done back in March then June it wasn't completely said and done September 24. Unless you're someone who enjoys the run around and being lied to, Michael rice is not even someone I would refer my worst enemy to.
