Honestly if I could give a rating of zero stars I would. The billing practices of Barber Emerson I believe are dishonest. We used them years ago to create our will and trust. Present day are getting ready to redo our wills and trust and but couldn't remember the name of our trust. Our financial advisor called his office to determine what type of trust we had and Barber Emerson charged us $60 to have a 5 minute phone call with our financial advisor and send a quick email saying we didn't have a full trust but simply a "testamentary trust". When my husband replied to Calvins email with a question of why he didn't create a trust for us like we had believed he did (obviously he didn't clarify the work he was doing when we first had him create the trust either). He simply said we were too young. Then today we received an ADDITIONAL bill for $60 because my husband replied to his email. We now have a bill for $120. I can understand the first bill for $60 he did look into our files and send an email. I understand billing by the hour but seriously that is REALLY poor form. We were already charged his apparent minimum for the time it took to send the initial email and speak briefly with our advisor, likely less than the minimum time anyway. So why in the world would a simple reply to that email (that he started by the way) equal a whole different minimum charge. We definitely are not fans of this type of practice and will take our business elsewhere for any future law needs. Seriously poor form.

This office struggled with "internet" problems that caused a huge delay in communication. I would have to reach out through email and phone messages to confirm if I was being sent emails or if my emails were being received. Professional interactions, however, Mr. Rogers seems to be too busy to properly communicate with clients. He seems passionate but unable to fully commit to clients. I had to go another legal route due to the lack of communication.

Mrs Roberts took our money, took forever to respond, she did nothing to resolve any of the issues. After we asked where her report was, she rushed a response that did nothing to help any of the involved parties. We were left having to get help from elsewhere and pay them also.
