After receiving an unsolicited mailer, I decided to still give them a chance and contacted them. The gentleman that answered the phone was polite and helpful. unfortunately, that's the only positive I have to share. The first lawyer they assigned didn't call me with the projected time, called while I was busy hours later, then didn't leave a voicemail. they called me while I was at work, again, didn't leave a voicemail but left a message to call at my earliest convenience. I call but get sent directly to voicemail. hours later I receive a message saying they're out of the office by 5, even though I called before that. I contacted the office and they assigned me a different lawyer who would be able to work with me at the hours I'm available. I make time for the call, but again, it doesn't come when it's supposed to, and when I confront him on all of this, Smerlin acts belligerent and proceeds to be disrespectful towards me, eventually hanging up the phone on me. This was unprofessional and disappointing, to treat people in vulnerable situations in such a manner, do better.
