Lori has been an incredible resource every step of the way within our eviction cases.
She's always available to answer our questions, no matter how complex or simple, and consistently gives honest, practical advice tailored to our situations. It's clear she knows the law well and genuinely cares about protecting our interests while making sure we stay compliant with all the legal requirements.
Her guidance gives us confidence that if and when we do need to take a case to court, we'll be fully prepared. We appreciate her professionalism, responsiveness, and the peace of mind she provides. Highly recommend her to any landlords or property managers in need of reliable legal support.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I hired Lori Quist based on a referral from someone who supposedly had a great experience with her, but it was nothing but a disappointment. When I first met with her to give her the retainer fee, she went into this long litany about how she knows so many judges in the housing court division, which was not going to serve me in any capacity unless she was going to call them and tell them to rule in my favor. She also bragged about having filed 16,000 cases. After giving her the fee, she said she was going to file the case, which took her almost a week to do. The sad part about this was she filed the case twice and it got rejected twice due to her not filing it correctly, which pushed the case out three weeks. She then filed it a third time, which it also got rejected, and I had to call the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court and have someone walk her through the process of filing the case correctly on a two way call. Before the call was over, she went on to say that she has filed 18,000 cases, which was an increase of 2,000 cases in a month in a half period from the time I originally hired her. Once the case was filed, she emailed the summons to her process server, whose name is Jason, so he could deliver the summons to my tenant. I emailed him two or three times to discuss how he was planning to serve the tenant and there was no response for a week. When I brought this to her attention, her response was, "well if we don't get them served, we'll just push the case out another month." No let me get in touch with Jason, let me see what's going on. When I questioned her about his lack or response, she stated I was being rude and threatened to drop and withdraw from my case. As a result of Jason's slow movement and Lori's lack of professionalism, I hired my own process server who served the tenant the next day. As soon as the tenant received the summons, they moved, I looked at that as my tenant saved me from the lawyer. If you hire her, you're going to have to micromanage her. All she talks about is fighting a case about a house in Florida and attending her children's skating events. Finally, trying to get in contact with her is like trying to get in contact with the Governor of Illinois. It's extremely hard. I wouldn't hire her again if she was the last eviction lawyer on the planet.
