I have used John J. Pembroke and Assoc for twenty-five years. Their expertise is unparalleled . The firm is extremely thorough,does a great job of communicating with clients, and produces great results. The fact that they are both accountants and attorneys is a significant added benefit. They also have great rapport with various taxing bodies and have handled a number of issues for me deftly. They are fair, very reasonably priced and at the very top in terms of service and results. I give the firm my strongest possible recommendation.

I have known John since we used to work together many years ago. He is an excellent attorney and has prepared my firm's tax returns for the past twenty-one years. John is especially knowledgeable regarding tax law and I recommend him in particular for handling complex tax and corporate issues.

John has prepared my tax returns for approximately 15 years. He has also provided me with excellent estate planning guidance. I have sought John's advice on many occasions with respect to my family estate, and his advice has always been extremely helpful.

I am a cancer patient who reached out to Mr Pembroke to assist with preparation of a will. I was told the fee was $700 which I gladly paid well before he had completed the Will. I was not told which phone calls and that meeting me in the parking lot to sign the Will were being additionally charged for. After several months I received an additional bill for $300 with phone conversations (except 1 or 2)billed for . If I had been informed upfront about this billing, I would not have spent the time discussing his family's health and other unrelated topics having nothing to do with my Will. I realize when a person is sick, some people take advantage. I personally would have preferred if he would have just charged the $1,000 upfront instead of doing things in this way. I am glad to have the Will (and he will get paid) but if I get any further bills, I will need to report this and will not be seeing him in the future for my tax preparation or any other services. When you are billing someone for services, make it clear that you are, UPFRONT. You will get the $300 and let the wrong done be on you. For anyone reading this, watch out for fees you were not told about upfront! Upon contact with Mr Pembroke, my issues with his office billing have been resolved. The quality of his professional work was very good and I will readjust my ranking of his services as a result.
