Do not use Alexis as your Worker's Compensation lawyer. Period. Unless you enjoy feeling like the last priority when you've got a broken back and messed up ankle. She was in a position of power and she used that to manipulate, abuse and gaslight us, always there with handy excuses as to why something wasn't done like she said it would be. The day she signed on to the case she talked very big about how tough and 'real' she was but only two months in we caught her in a lie. If you dared call her out like I did on her lack of compassion and integrity, poor communication, disorganization, scatterbrained demeanor, and outright lies, she'd say whatever she could to get 'out of trouble' including gaslight you, even if you have receipts (we do) of her saying something and not following through on it. She took every opportunity to exert power over us, including policing our language when we got justifiably angry at her abuse of power and inability to get things done, sometimes leaving us dead broke (late and missed Total Temporary Disability checks) and unable to pay our bills. When a lawyer jokes about being chummy with Opposing Council, it's a red flag. If that woman had one ounce of self-reflection (I can practically hear her dismissing any wrong-doing on her part as usual) she could be a decent lawyer and none of this would have happened. She routinely denied any wrong doing when called out but had buckets of excuses, which don't pay the bills do they? She was hired to alleviate the stress from my bf being severely injured at work over a year ago and all she did was increase the stress. We both felt like we were in a narcissistic relationship, she kept 'explaining' things but never ever fixing any problems because God forbid SHE be part of the problem! Nope. Our anger was never justified in her opinion. She also: 1.) violated our trust and abused her power by attempting to gatekeep our communication, 2.) withheld information from us constantly to supposedly make things less stressful forcing US to hunt down the information ourselves and PROVIDE IT TO HER at times, all adding an incredible amount of stress to an already crazy situation. Prompt clear updates are part of what we wanted and she was never able to deliver that. Sloppy correspondence, questions unanswered, incredibly long waits for simple approvals that shouldn't have been a problem (we checked) AND chaos are all we really got with Alexis Ferracuti - B.A., J.D.
