Duane has always done very good work for me. He has always been upfront and I love his no nonsense attitude. He tells you like it is. He doesn't sugar coat or promise what he can't deliver. I've had Duane as my attorney for some time now and I like him. It takes time to get things done. I realize I'm not his only client. But he gets done what I need. And if he can't do it he says so.

Hiring Duane Berkland was one of the worst and most damaging decisions I ever made. Instead of providing a real defense, he completely disregarded evidence in my favor, treated me with disrespect, and pressured me to plead guilty without a full investigation of the facts. He made it very clear he was not working in my best interests. He seemed more concerned with clearing his own caseload quickly rather than protecting my rights or my future. I personally experienced intimidation tactics, false guilt-shaming, and emotional pressure to accept a false outcome. Because of his actions, my reputation, mental health, housing, education, and family relationships were severely harmed. If you value your freedom, your dignity, your future, and your right to a fair defense -- stay as far away as possible from this attorney. I am currently taking formal legal action through the appropriate authorities to seek accountability for the irreparable damage caused by this lawyer's conduct. Horrible attorney took my $2750 retainer fee and did 4 hours of work! I would call multiple times and never get a call back! I would recommend going somewhere else if you want a attorney that does their job! If I could give no stars I would!
