The front desk was extremely rude. I just called them to cancel my appointment for tomorrow (because they were unable to provide me with even a rate range). The receptionist hung up the phone very abruptly without even saying goodbye. Wouldn't recommend it.

After my divorce being final, I can officially say that Doyen Law Group is 5 stars x100. I worked primarily with Katie and Kristina, but also worked with Mike. Over the 2+ year divorce, Katie was nothing but compassionate and truly cared about me as a person. She had my best interests in mind in every aspect of my life. She's amazing. If you are looking for someone who cares about you as a person, while being an amazing lawyer, this firm is it!

her office failed to setup a basic appointment for a divorce case. I was never notified for a confirmed meeting. She on top of that reported me to the court as a "No show" even though it was her office and staff that failed to setup the appointment.
They apologized and offered me the $400 fee that i paid and told me that i would receive it via check within two weeks. I never received the refund.
A few minutes ago I called them again asking for the refund that they promised to send me after failing on everything miserably. They hung up the phone to my face.
I advise anyone to seek legal representation elsewhere as they are extremely unorganized and unprofessional. This law firm is definitely not one that you can trust.
* UPDATE
The owner is lying in her response to this review. I called to make an appointment and her office told me there was an open date for a meeting but they had to check with her to confirm with her to setup the appointment and get back to me to confirm. They never did.
her staff even apologized to me for failing to confirm the appointment.
If there was no wrong being done by her office, they would have never apologized and offer to refund the fees.
I called them today again and this time it was Katie Doyen herself that hung up the phone. Screaming and being completely unprofessional. I just want everyone that will read this email to know that I did not harass her staff and called their office because every time i call, Kristina (her staff) she would tell me that she will call me back the next day for at least two-three times and never call back so I only called to follow-up . Her office promises to call back and never do. And when you follow up, you are being accused of harassment. This law group is a joke. I can not believe any court that would appoint her to be a mediator. A mediator should be just and fair. there is nothing fair and just about this establishment. There are many good lawyers and law firms out there. Stay away from this one.

Absolutely absolutely please please stay away, so frustrated by horrible service.
Katie is absolutely waste of time, in my opinion. Paid and I'm worst off then I was.
Weren't even able to file a proper withdraw of services, filing me as respondent and my ex as petitioner.
unreal. When I phoned in to the Doyen Law Group to make them aware of the gross error of oversight to something so simple. Was told I was "rude"........
Stay away from this firm! Best advice in my opinion.
Zero stars in my opinion.
Response " aggressive with staff " lol make sure you smile and laugh and say thank you when you are served garbage as service. You're right Katie the retainer was not met. $2250 out of $2500..... had nothing else to say

Ms Kathleen Doyen acted less than professional and in my opinion, her primary concern was creating and collecting on her billable hours.
Edit: Ms Doyen I am going to respond to what I perceive as inaccurate statements, although it is probably a pointless exercise. You will most likely never change your view on us, nor will I. I can live with that.
I do not recall him ever lying in court as you accuse in your reply. However, I do recall many lies being presented as fact by other individuals, which was very concerning. Multiple pieces of evidence were submitted verifying his statements, none were submitted refuting his statements during the trial.
I believe you did not like hearing our family's opinions on your work. You got mad and called security over. No one else felt there was a reason for security and frankly were shocked by your display, but you called them over. I think that had you acted professionally in the hallway and not created tension by speaking loudly to the other party about us in front of us, no one would have been vocal about their thoughts on your "work", and therefore your reaction to the statement would have never transpired. You could have gone into one of the consult rooms to have a conversation, but you did it in the open which only further displayed your lack of professionalism in that moment. Hindsight is 20/20, so I hope you learn from that situation and handle the scenario more professionally with future cases.
You collected 100% of the fees approved by the judge. You received approximately 9k. 9k for the recommendation of creating a "comprehensive" plan, and no written report citing facts to back up your recommendations. During your trial testimony you gave the opinion that you did not believe a GAL was needed in the case, yet somehow you were able to charge over 9k and then respond here that you were owed more. In part, these statements have helped lead me to forming my opinion given in my initial review.
There are 2 sides to every story, and my opinion is based on my interpretation of what I witnessed. You're entitled to your opinion of us based on your interpretations, but I can confidently state more lies were created and expressed in court from other parties than your claim in the reply to my google review that the lies were from my fiance. I believe it is unprofessional to attack reviewers in response to a negative rating. There are many other strategies that could be employed, and would be more professional, to soften a negative review. My opinion remains unchanged based on your reply to my initial review, as I'm sure yours is unchanged as well.
