As an attorney, I know the value that a good attorney brings to an injury claim. Therefore, I picked the very best attorneys in Chicago at Smith LaCien when I was injured. From the attorneys, Brian and Andrew, to the incredibly helpful paralegals and staff, I had complete confidence in this firm throughout the process. Not only have I hired this firm to be my attorney, but I've been on the defense against attorneys now working at this firm and I know them to unparalleled in the Chicago legal community when it comes to diligence, preparation and execution.

Attorney Andrew Mason was my representation for my case from Smith LaCien, he was wonderful!! He was clear, direct, professional and definitely got the job more than done for me. As well as Ms. Vivian Wong who was on point with documents and keeping me updated! She had great telephone personality, she never rushed me off the phone which was greatly appreciated. Too bad I can Not say the same about the female who answer the calls before being transferred who is extremely rude and unpleasant to deal with. Other than that I would gladly recommend and if the happens to me in an accident after calling my love ones I will be calling Attorney Andrew Mason again. THANKS to you both again foe your outstanding service to me and my case!!!

Attorney Mason and LaCien were very professional, sincere, and went above and beyond my expectations. They provided a level of care that created an environment of promise and peace.

It would be helpful if the individual that answers the phone for the group would create a dialogue for conversation rather than speaking with what felt like a wall. It felt very dismissive, and I didn't appreciate that kind of interaction when searching for legal services.

I was involved in a life-altering accident and was not sure how to handle it. I reached out to two local Law firms and each seemed lackadaisical, if not indifferent about my misfortune. A short time had passed and I was on the phone with a good friend and told him what had happened to me. Without missing a beat he said he would put me in touch with a firm that would handle this for me. In hindsight, and great fortune to me, it was Smith LaCien.
I received a call from the firm, and within a few days, Brian LaCien and Andrew Mason showed up at my door to speak with me about the incident that resulted in the loss of my leg. Brian was direct and asked pointed questions. Andrew was more observant, taking it all in. Brian's mannerisms and acumen immediately brought to my mind the expression, "Philadelphia Lawyer." Brian told me they would take on my case.
Andrew was assigned my case. He may be soft-spoken and seem innocuous, but don't let that fool you, he is a talented and gifted Attorney.
We had two failed mediations. There was a sizable Insurance offer on the table, and after the first mediation which I sat in on in a Zoom meeting, but in a private room, Andrew and Todd Smith came back to me and explained the events that unfolded. Todd asked me if I wanted to settle and accept the insurance offer or go forward to trial.
I told Todd, let's move forward, and he immediately turned to Andrew and told him to get started on more depositions. Mr. Smith could have suggested that we accept the offer on the table, and convinced me that the insurance offer was a good one, and not worth risking, but he listened to me and agreed with my decision to pursue the claim.
Had it not been for Andrew digging deep, uncovering a myriad of untruths told by one party to the claim, and getting subpoenas for various records, I most likely would have asked Todd to settle after the first mediation. Andrew's tireless work and keen knowledge of the law netted me an additional 2/3'rds of what the insurance company offered. I was impressed with Andrew's handling of my deposition, and fortunate to have Andrew on my side. He was amazing, always at my beckon call, day or night, and his mission was to keep me abreast of how the case was progressing, and he did it flawlessly.
I was treated like family. I consider Andrew and Smith LaCien et al to be my friends.
