Within the 2 years my case was going I was helped what seemed very little. Not once did Mr. Montemurro show up in person to any of my court dates via person, even when he was told multiple times by the judge to be there. Every single time there was another reason (excuse) that he could not show up. I have another case In another state that I was told that he would take care of, which was stated in front of a family member, that after my current case was done that I found out nothing was ever done about my previous charges. He then charged me a new retainer fee in which I thought was for my old case only to later find out by my prohibition officer that it was for the same case just because it became a felony case. I paid double for the same case. He also rarely contacted me with any updates regarding the case, most of the time the emails I received was to make sure I pay him all his money. A year into the case I wanted to take the plea deal and he advised against it freeing me false hope that he could win, only to end up dragging it out another year and still taking the plea deal. I paid almost 13,000$ to Mr. Montemurro for a plea deal on a 1st time felony DUI. I did not have a very good experience with this lawyer and will not be going back nor recommending him to friends or family.
