I was shocked seeing any negative reviews after working with Kim and her office. She has been nothing short of amazing. She is thorough, listens to her clients but makes sure they are protected. I've never had an issue with the office staff not answering calls or emails. They've always been quick to answer any and all questions and get meetings set up. Kim is worth every penny. And I can't recommend her enough to people going through nasty divorces.

They charge a hefty retainer fee but once you pay it they choose not to answer your phone calls or your emails. You can't even meet the attorney in person and when you do request to meet Kim Brooks the paralegals tell you that she's booked out an entire month! The absolute worst attorney I have ever had. They are quick to take your money but slow to return any kind of phone calls or emails. Have no idea what the status of my court case was until I pulled out and went somewhere else. They have been nothing but difficult to work with.

I honestly don't know how I would have made it through my divorce without Kim and her team at Brooks Law. Having been married for 46 years, I was suddenly tossed into a dark abyss of emotion, fear, and overwhelm. A friend recommended Kim, and I'm forever grateful that I reached out. Rebecca was my day-to-day contact, always there to answer the mounds of questions I tossed at her. I never had to wait for an answer. This team is brilliant, efficient, and aggressive, yet compassionate and understanding. They fought for me when I didn't have it in me to fight for myself. If you are going through a divorce, just hire them.

Although they were unable to take my case, they were the first place the tried to point me in the right direction. I called 6 law firms before I called them and they all said sorry we can't do it. Best of luck. And hung up.

If you are looking for a lawyer that does the least amount possible to help in a DV divorce hearing and thinks that it is perfectly okay to berate and belittle you, then you should choose Brooks Law. Specifically Kim Brooks. Not only has she completely taken advantage of a mother that worked at home her entire life to take care of her children, by not helping a bit with her getting uneven partial custody of her children, but has charge my friend 10s of thousands of dollars to do absolutely nothing. In the last year in a half, she has only met with her client TWICE in person. Once to meet with her and a second just recently since the divorce is almost finalized. She was terrible at responding to phone calls and emails and even those were unprofessional and unhelpful. Seriously, she would have been better off representing herself and spent her hard earned money on helping her get out of the marriage she did not deserve. In addition to that, when I questioned her decisions off the record, she accused me of "interrupting" and threaten to ask me to step out (even though court was not in session)... and to clarify, I was just asking a question which my friend approved of and I would assume she felt intimidated by me asking her a question she didn't want to answer. You are MUCH better off finding a firm that is honest and treats you with the respect and dignity you deserve. I would definitely assume that she is just in this for the money and taking advantage of people that are in a very fragile and unfortunate situation.
