I cannot say enough great things about Lingerfelt & Associates. Jason and his entire team were absolutely incredible from start to finish. They were professional, compassionate, and genuinely committed to helping me through every step of the process. Jason took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt informed and supported throughout my closing. His expertise and attention to detail gave me complete confidence, and his team was always responsive, kind, and incredibly helpful.

We hired Jason B. Lingerfelt for closing and to act as Escrow Agent for a $30,000 holdback related to a new well installation at the time of our home sale. The agreement was crystal clear. We completed the required work, but Jason refused to release the remaining funds (almost $15,000 - this isn't just pennies here), essentially allowing the Buyer to impose a brand-new, non-contractual demand (for Radon filtration on the water utility). It was beyond frustrating dealing with him; he seemed completely incompetent and unwilling to grasp the basic terms of the agreement. This unlawful retention of our money, for over a year, created serious financial distress for our family, especially since it coincided with my husband's job loss. An attorney must follow the contract precisely, and Jason failed spectacularly. Save yourself the heartache and hire someone else. This has turned into an endless nightmare and now we are having to file grievances and hire outside legal representation.

Jason is in trouble. We are currently filing against him for illegally holding on to over $14K of our house sale proceeds for OVER A YEAR. He invented facts about our contract to hold on to funds after we clearly completed all the conditions. Jason is either incompetent, a liar, or both. He refused to return my calls and I had to hire outside legal representation to deal with him. Jason violated just about every professional code of conduct that he is obligated to follow. I will be surprised if he is still allowed to practice law after we are done filing claims and grievances against him. It makes no sense to me why he would do this to us, and we gave him every grace and opportunity to correct the situation.

This team is top-notch and a pleasure to work with. Michelle coordinated a last-minute closing to get my clients out of a jam, and she did it efficiently with no hiccups. This was the first time I worked a closing with this group, and it definitely won't be the last.
