Working with Ms. Welch was, in my opinion, one of the most disappointing and stressful experiences I've ever had with a professional. Throughout the entire case, communication felt almost nonexistent. We never spoke on the phone or at her office about my case, there was no proactive outreach, and I constantly felt left in the dark. I repeatedly had to chase down basic information myself because I couldn't rely on her to keep me informed. What bothered me most was how unprepared and uninterested she seemed in understanding my situation. In my view, she never took the time to properly discuss my case, barely responded to important emails, and often brushed past details that mattered. She didn't even go over the police report with me until the day of court, almost a year after the incident, which left me shocked and unprepared. I also felt pushed into accepting a guilty plea for a misdemeanor I believe I did not commit, based on what seemed like her fear or misunderstanding of the situation rather than any meaningful strategy. There were no real discussions about alternatives, no clear guidance, and no sense of advocacy. After paying her on the first day, I practically never saw her again until the court date. Overall, this was, in my personal experience, a deeply frustrating and disheartening process. I would strongly encourage others to consider more reputable and responsive attorneys if they want real support and value for their money.
